Read the real George Washington, you will find that they did not agree with you. The first Bible printed in this country was printed by the Congress for use in the schools.

Y’all should do some research on the Founding Fathers. Most notably Washington, Madison, Jefferson, and Paine. None of them were Christians.

Doing a little re-writing of the history now aren't you? The meeting to talk about the declaration began with a 3 hour prayer and then they argued for another hour if that was long enough or not. Doesn't sound like people not wanted to have God there to help with the big decisions.

They said we should have the government pay for schools so that every child will learn to read...(wait for it)... the BIBLE.

As much as you or others try to re-write it this country was founded on CHRISTIAN principles. Not even Judeo/Christian because there weren't that many Jews either.

And as much as Obama wants to lie about it the Muslims didn't have good influence here either.

so keep lying to yourself but that doesn't make it true.

Our country would be better served if we had stronger Christians and Jews in office who had God help them with the votes rather than what we have now.

It’s amazing how narrow some minds are around here. Believing in a God and being Christian are two very different things.
