One House Republican decided his colleagues needed a little inspiration, so he sent every one of them a new Bible.
Rep. Steven Palazzo (R-MS) sent a letter as well, telling each of his House and Senate colleagues that the “best advice comes through meditating on God’s Word” and that the Holy Bible could “help guide you in your decision-making.” …

Do you people see the crap that happens when one tries to impress their religion on others.
I am not saying it’s bad to be a Christian or Jew or whatever. I am saying let that be YOUR guide to living. Raise YOUR children with those values. Talk about YOUR relationship with an almighty.
Keep it out of OUR government.
Otherwise, when taken to the extreme, you end up with Islam.

Did you ever hear of the Inquisition or the Salem witch trials? Two real quick examples of what happens when the “priests” run the show.
I am a Christian. But I see danger when you mix religion and government. You can use your religious values as a base for your laws. But the bible should never be secular law.
