We're gonna go out on a limb here and say this is DEFINITELY one of the strangest assignments the Secret Service has ever gotten! While President Barack Obama was busy hanging out with Katy Perry at the White House this weekend, his oldest daughter Malia was seeing musicians like OutKast, Skrillex, Lorde, and SO many more! That's because the 16-year-old was in Chicago with thousands of other youths at this year's installment...

I guess the Obama media got permission from the regime to run this story....unlike so many others that were spiked when Team BO told the media they were not permitted to inform taxpayers how their money was being spent to jet the kids to other party venues.

I agree with you. Obama and Michelle give us more than enough to complain about. This is Malia doing something normal. Any parent who could sent their daughter to a rock festival with secret service would. Actually, it probably made everyone a bit safer.

I thought the underage Bush twins sneaking off drinking with fake IDs and no Secret Service was a far more real story.

The Obama daughters for the last several summers went to a camp on Newfound Lake in central NH. While there the Secret Service would hire locals and their boats to patrol the water in front of the camp. A friend of mines retired Dad was one of those locals.

They hired the locals because they wanted people who were out on the lake on a daily basis anyway. That way they would not attract attention.

I remember I was up in Kennybunkport, ME on my father in laws boat about 20 years back. A big Scarab boat came up the river followed by a 28’ inflatable with US Secret Service stenciled on its bow. The SS boat had three ex-military looking guys on it. It also had two 100HP outboards on the back. The agent on the bow was in a wetsuit holding a machine gun. When they came back down the river we noticed the George Bush Sr. was driving the first boat. He had a bunch of guys with him. It turned out the were the Oak Ridge boys.

We spent the night on the docks there right next to GW and the SS boats. The next morning GW and the SS boys came down to the dock said hello to everyone and then jumped in his boat and went back out on the water. We were told the SS boat could exceed 60mph if required.

I do kind of feel bad for the kid. Going to a concert with the secret service is probably worse than going to a concert with your parents.

Most have forgotten about the letter that the Bush twins wrote to the Obama girls, but it can still be found on the internet. It was full of advice and warnings, but also recommended that the Obama girls take full and extended advantage of any and all opportunities that would be coming their way

I have a good memory of those times when the Johnson girls(LBJ) lived at Kinsolving dormitory on the UT campus.
