What the Israelis are doing, is liberating the concentration camps. The camp guards, Hamas, is setting up the unwilling human shields in what they believe to be "hardened" sites when the Israelis come shooting.
Rescuing persons from concentration camps results in varying amounts of collateral damage. And the inmates of that concentration camp are suffering from an advanced state of Stockholm syndrome.
