It's really not that sweet, I'm use a "family" recipe.
.. I, Personally, use 3 table spoons.
it's just enough to takeoff the bitterness.Good discussion on Race.

Have you tried Ice Tea (sweetened to your taste) ?
I recommend "Luzianne Iced Tea" or "Tetley Tea".
Good Iced Tea is a Southern Tradition and requires know-how to brew.
I like my tea a little weak, (4 regular or small bags boiled and quickly chilled, to prevent bitterness, to a gallon of good clean tasting water).
Put 4 small bags of tea into a pot, and run cold clean water over it, about 2 quarts.
In the sink, run about 4 inches of cold water in one side, to cool the tea quickly, and in the other side of the sink, place your glass gallon jug with a little cold clean water in it, less than a quart.
If you want the tea sweetened, add the sugar to the water in the glass gallon jug now and stir it up.
I don't recommend more than a cup of sugar to a gallon of tea and I don't use any sweetener at all.
Boil the tea, and just as soon as the tea starts to boil, take the pot off the stove and place the pot in the cold water in the sink to quickly cool the pot down.
Immediately take the tea bags out of the brewed tea and throw the bags away.
As soon as the cold water outside the pot in the sink gets hot, and the brewed tea in the pot is cool enough to touch, then take the pot out and pour the brewed tea into the glass jug.
Then finish filling the glass jug with clean and good tasting water.
Put in the refrigerator for a while and after about an hour, get a glass and drink it.
Enjoy, and tea does make you go to the bathroom more often, because it cleans your body and lessens your appetite.
A slice of lemon, squeezed into the glass of tea you're drinking, really hits the spot.

BTW I am saddened that Twinning’s reformulated their Earl Grey tea.
It was the best and now it sucks.
Have a bloody case of it here.

RUSH, in olden days, the cure for ticks, mosquitoes, and chiggers, was sulfur,
either swallowed, or used in dust and eaten on toast,
or dusted on your shoes and clothes.

Sulfur is bad smelling, alright.
But eggs don't contain enough sulfur in them to deter the biting bugs.
Sulfur in tablets (two a day) or in powder, will do the job, but is a little hard on the kidneys.
