Want to go through a background check if you buy a gun from a relative or a friend? I sure don’t:

CARSON CITY, Nevada — Supporters of an initiative petition to expand background checks to nearly all gun sales in Nevada will soon begin gathering signatures after claiming a court victory.

Carson District Judge James Wilson on Friday struck down most of the arguments of the Nevada Firearms Coalition over the wording of the petition. The group opposes the petition.

Wilson ordered a minor wording change noting there would be criminal penalties for failure to obey the proposed new law, but rejected other wording changes sought by the firearms coalition.

Heads up Nevada. Contact your Senators and Assembly-persons to put a stop to this. According to the rules and regs, the nannies must collect 100k signatures from "4 zones" within the state in order to get this on the '16 ballot. Not sure how the 4 zones are determined but I have no doubt that the nannies could get that many in the Vegas area alone but I don't think that is part of the lay out of the initiative. I'm thinkin' 25k minimun from each "zone". Reno Tahoe may provide the 25k since there's alot of lib/prog/socialist/dimokkkrats in the area.

To own a gun? I thought it was for something dangerous, like voting!

Oh? I recently moved here, thought it was a rather conservative area.

LOL! We thought so too. We moved here about 3 years ago and have been watching the political landscape and there are certainly a lot of libs around. Glad you moved here to help swing the scales a little more to the right. My significant other (read wife) likes to get the ads out of the newspaper. I wouldn’t subscribe to it other than that and some of the delusional letters to the editor are rather frightening. Anyway, welcome.

This is a Bloomberg front group. The entity holding the title to the internet address is the same law firm that represents Bloomberg’s “Everytown”.

Yup. I looked at their “incorportation” and petition filing. The out of staters need to stay in their own states. One of the addresses is a lobbying office across the street from the senate/assembly buildings in Carson City. Vegas phone #’s. LUTFA!
