So are you on the Romney campaign since he is polling the best and has the best chance of winning?
“You say you want a revolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it’s evolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world”
Beatles - Revolution
No, just DEFUND HIM. The House has that power and could do it in an afternoon!
But what about the soldiers and Soch Security people. That is cruel and heartless. That has worked out well. What else you got? Elect more Rinos?
Nixon RESIGNED after GOP leaders told him they could no longer defend him. He was NOT impeached.
I would like to share on Facebook - is there a link somewhere where this might be posted other than FR?
Please.
Obama could drop to the 20s and still not one democrat will vote to remove him from office. They’re perfectly fine with the collapse of the country, so long as they think they’ll get to rule what’s left. To those people, the PARTY’s interests rule the day, not those of the country.
You sure about that? You sure Harpy wouldn’t want to stab him in the back?
You seem to be changing the subject, that’s usually the tactic of someone who is losing the argument. No, I have nothing whatever to do with the Romney campaign, never have had, never will.
There are too many traitorous Senators (look for the "D" after their name). When you see a car with a demonicrat bumpersticker you know the person inside is a co-traitor to the United States. Be wary of such wicked people.
The other side will write their own script whether we impeach or not. With impeachment, we get off our cowering rear ends and we articulate a truthful message. We rally the people who don't like Obama and we send a message to the remaining people that Obama deserves to be impeached.
Impeachment is a pathway to failure that can only serve to bolster Obama.
Nonsense. You don't know that. What we do know is that doing nothing, not standing up to the Democrats is utterly destroying our country. It's deflating the opposition and its sending a message to others that Obama doesn't deserve to be impeached.
We have many options to achieve this purpose, Impeachment is not one of them. The purpose of impeachment is to remove a President, it has no other object. This we cannot do given the current political makeup of the Senate, therefore it is a completely irrational course.
And yet many argue that by some miracle, we can move forward with the political act of impeachment and avoid this obvious fault. Politicians are not going to change their stripes simply because the Senate convenes as an impeachment trial.
It will take the senate. Which we don’t have. And even if we did I suspect McCain, Alexander, hatch, Collins, just to name a few, would find a reason not to convict, along with all of the dims. Still, send it to the senate and make them vote. Show the country who the dirt bags are.
You miss the point..they were heading for impeachment....the fact the dem got the results they wanted without actually impeachment is kind of irrelevant....he was the only President pushed out of office
The threat of impeachment was the weapon....
I don’t miss the point at all, and neither does Obama. It would be very foolish for the Republicans to “take impeachment off the table”. It would be a fundamental change to our Constitution without the consent of the people, for one thing.
The purpose of impeachment is to remove a President, it has no other object.
It can have other objectives.
In an earlier post you said impeachment was a political act. Now you are saying that it's purely technocratic.
It is not, and there is no reason why we should allow it to be.
With impeachment, we articulate a truthful message, we rally the people who don't like Obama and we send a message to the remaining people that Obama deserves to be impeached.
And I would add, we go after politically the Democrat senators in red states who vote against it.
In the alternative course of inaction, the opposite happens.
Yes.
