You miss the point..they were heading for impeachment....the fact the dem got the results they wanted without actually impeachment is kind of irrelevant....he was the only President pushed out of office

impeachment can be used as a political weapon without actually firing it
Rush has been good of late on this..impeachment is a political weapon of last resort....
you do not need to use but neither do you forbid it use...
think of it like a Cold War nuke..the threat can be used to put a rouge in check
