Paraphase of Stalin/Berria comment: You show me the man, I will show you the disease.

A Lois Lerner type finds a hack left wing MD to declare someone with a respiratory illness, then the person can be detained indefinitely.

cuba quarantines aids patients. This obviously will never happen in the USA, since aids is a politically correct disease.

...allows for the apprehension, detention, or conditional release of individuals with certain severe acute respiratory diseases, not including influenza.

That just about sums up the current influx of illegal "immigrants", doesn't it? Yet they (the illegals) are given a ticket to "report back", and we know they never will. Perhaps Obama knows something about this year's upcoming flu season that we aren't yet privy to?

Here comes the FEMA camps. Of course only if you are sick and conservative. :-)

Just being Conservative will probably qualify as sick enough for them.

[right to have sex] > [right to breathe]

Yep, and a Planned Parenthood group (IPPF) is pushing for the sex rights of AIDS "victims" to withhold that information from their sex partners.

http://www.ippf.org/resource/Healthy-Happy-and-Hot-young-peoples-guide-rights

“A guide for young people living with HIV to help them understand their sexual rights”

“Sexual and reproductive rights are recognized around the world as human rights - Every person living with HIV is entitled to these rights and they are necessary for the development and well-being of all people and the societies in which they live.”

“Young people living with HIV may feel that sex is just not an option, but don’t worry — many young people living with HIV live healthy, fun, happy and sexually fulfi lling lives. You can too, if you want to! Things get easier (and sex can get even better) as you become more comfortable with your status.”

“This guide is here to support your sexual pleasure and health, and to help you develop strong intimate relationships. It explores how your human rights and sexual well-being are related and suggests strategies to help you make decisions about dating, relationships, sex and parenthood. It explores the rights of young people living with HIV to:

• express and enjoy their sexuality (page 3)
decide if, when, and how to disclose their HIV status (page 5)
• experience sexual pleasure (page 7)
• take care of their sexual health (page 9)
• practise safer sex (page 11)
• choose if, when, how many, and with whom to have children (page 13) [note: they don't believe even the children of HIV "victims" have the right to know]
• access support and services that respect their dignity, autonomy, privacy and well-being (page 15)

So am I reading this correct that if you are an American and sick, you can be quarantined but if you are illegal, come on in, we will let you walk the streets?

Yes, La Raza have birthright claim to this land while the citizens of Estadoes Unidoes have fewer rights.

This detention for Public Health has been on the books for a long time, but to go active, it must have an executive order which must specify what disease(s).

Barking Moonbats on the Left had their paranoid fantasies about Reagan's "detention centers" yet Obama expands such a notion by royal fiat and there is no outcry from the Left.

REM's Michael Stipe delayed HIV test to stay out of the, um, Reagan-Bush internment camps (Cain TV ^ | Monday June 30th, 2014 | Dan Calabrese)

This one time it is a legitimate executive order. W. Bush did almost the exact same thing for SARS. It only exists on a permanent basis for an explicit list of diseases, any new ones have to be added by executive order.

SARS I can understand. non-flu respiratory cough, though?

Non-flu respiratory cough covers a litany of pulmonary diseases.

Cholera, Diphtheria, infectious Tuberculosis, Plague, Smallpox, Yellow fever, and Viral Hemorrhagic Fevers (including ebola) have been on the list since 1983. W. Bush added SARS.

Just off the top of my head I could add

Pneumococcal Meningitis
Chickenpox (varicella)
Coronavirus infections (including SARS, MERS)
Group A streptococcus
Haemophilus influenzae type b
Influenza
Legionnaires’ disease
Measles
Mumps
Pneumonia
Rubella (German measles)
Whooping cough (pertussis)

It can also be something non-contagious, not-lethal. But let’s go ahead and lock them up without rights.

It has to initiate from the CDC. However, going way back, people have been worried that quarantine could be abused for other reasons.

The balance was tipped towards the Public Health Service likely because of Typhoid Mary. Despite all evidence to the contrary, she rejected both the idea that she was infectious or that she could be denied her “right” to be a cook for others, and to not wash her hands. In her time, she was believed to have infected 51 people, 3 of whom died.
