Obama hits 40% approval in AP poll, loses ground on foreign policy

The slow erosion of Barack Obama’s popularity and perceived competence continues. In today’s Associated Press/GfK poll, Obama hits his lowest approval rating ever at 40% and his highest disapproval rating ever at 59%. His one bright spot in policy over the last few years has dimmed considerably as well:

Foreign policy used to be a bright spot in Americans’ dimming opinion of President Barack Obama. Not anymore. Associated Press-GfK polling found a spring and summer of discontent with the president’s handling of world events.

Obama’s consistently low marks across crises such as the fighting in Ukraine and the conflict between Israel and Hamas could benefit Republicans aiming to win control Congress in the fall. …

Asked about world trouble spots:

—42 percent say the conflict between Israel and Hamas is “very” or “extremely” important to them; 60 percent disapprove of the way Obama has handled it.

—40 percent consider the situation in Afghanistan highly important; 60 percent disapprove of Obama’s handling of it.

—38 percent give high importance to the conflict in Ukraine; 57 percent disapprove of what Obama has done about that.

—38 percent find the situation in Iraq of pressing importance; 57 percent disapprove of Obama’s handling of it.

This is a disturbing poll. It is incredible that despite all the lawlessness, a foreign policy in shambles, and a breakdown of any border controls, that we still have 40% supporting this illegal in the White House. This nation is toast.

Let’s not forget that 47% ( or almost 50% ) of this country is in some form of government assistance.

A huge majority of this 47% will always favor Obama.

Bill Clinton held those same numbers (those who elected him, recall his was a 3-way race) even during impeachment. They “believed” him up to the moment he admitted he’d lied. They must’ve thought he was lying about that.

It took many years years (2007) for Democrats to wag their tongues about their dislike of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

They lie. It’s easier than admitting they were WRONG and some OTHER PARTY could’ve been right.

They over sample Democrats, then generally get more “Independents” (Socialists, Greens, Workers World, etc.) than Republicans, etc. they bias the polls.

37% is probably his bottom. 47% of America is in some form of government assistance and a huge chunk of these will support Democrats because they don’t want the goodies to stop.
