The high in Dallas today will be 82. That's at least 15 degrees under normal temps for this time of year.

What I'm used to is 82 degrees when I leave the house at 6 AM to go to work.

I live in Wisconsin. My older brother has been living in Texas for about forty years. He told me to never visit during the summer. I came down in June one time, and the highs were only in the mid-nineties. My brother thanked me for bringing the “cool” weather.
