David Horowitz wrote the most eloquent book ever, about moving from far left to far right (Native Son or Prodigal Son or something like that).
My leftist library pulled all Horowitz books written after conversion, yet kept all of the books he wrote before his conversion, regardless of book condition. Since then, that library is on my commie dirtbag pig list.
Radical Son. A really beautiful autobiography. I actually had a dear friend who worked with Horowitz on his old pamphlet “Ramparts.” My friend, now deceased, turned rightward as well although he fell out with Horowitz years ago. Horowitz is a wonderful writer with a fascinating personal history. I don’t agree with him about everything but who cares about that?!
