Kansas Senate Race Down to Single Digits
senateconservatives.com ^ | 7/31/14

We just received the results of our latest poll in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate in Kansas, and the race is down to single digits!!

Conservative Dr. Milton Wolf (R-KS) has cut Senator Pat Roberts' lead down to just nine points and only trails 41-32.

Pat Roberts is in trouble. He's universally known in Kansas and only 41 percent of Republicans say they plan to vote for him.

Dr. Milton Wolf (R-KS)Even Roberts' camp is downplaying expectations. A source close to Roberts told Politico that the race is "definitely closer than we expected.”

We need to take immediate action to put everything we can into this race. The election is this Tuesday so we need to act right now.

Please make an urgent donation to the Senate Conservatives Fund today so we can buy airtime and push Dr. Wolf on to victory.

Thanks to your generous support, SCF has already invested nearly $1 million in this important Senate race, and it's working.

The polls are tightening like they did in Virginia where Dave Brat defeated House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

Conservatives can't sit on the sidelines in Kansas. We need every freedom-loving American to pitch in to win this race.

Dr. Milton Wolf is one of the most principled and passionate conservatives running anywhere in the country. If he's elected, he will stand up to the big spenders in both parties and turn Washington upside down.

Now you’re talking! If Roberts can’t get above the low 40’s he will loose, because the undecideds will break heavily for Wolf. It would be “good” to say bubbye to Roberts, he’s done enough damage.

I’ve been told that I can’t vote for Wolf because I don’t know him. I have to vote for Roberts, because I know him and we have to vote for people that we know. Of course what I know about Roberts I don’t like, and he really pissed me off with his arrogance and sanctimony when he was sent down to Kansas by the Senate leadership to pour water on the hayseeds in Kansas who were stirring up trouble over the plan to close Guantanamo.

But, I know him, so I have to vote for him, rules are rules.

Naaha, I’m gonna vote for Wolf.

I will make sure I get my family to the polls to vote for Roberts. Thanks for the heads up.

None of us know Wolf, that’s the problem. No record, a total mystery, much like his cousin Zero. If Roberts were facing Kris Kobach, it would be a different story.

My vote is aimed at the Senate Republican Leadership. If Wolf happens to win, that’s a bonus but not necessary to my purpose.

I understand, but this is the wrong Senator to target with the wrong (unknown) candidate. In my state, it’s Lamar! that should draw the full on wrath of the national grassroots to depose next Thursday. I’d LOVE to swap Roberts for him or Corker, both are Establishment RINOs who rank amongst the most liberal members of the caucus (and to the left of the Senators they replaced, Frist and Fred Thompson).

“I will make sure I get my family to the polls to vote for Roberts. Thanks for the heads up.”

Why do you think that’s a good idea?

Senateconservatives.com seems to think they have enough info to endorse him,,,,

What’s left that is a mystery?

Everything. What has this guy done for the Conservative cause in Kansas (or anywhere else for that matter) ? What IS his record ? Nobody can answer that. It’s always, “He’s not Pat Roberts.” That’s not enough.

Because Roberts is a time tested conservative. Wolf is like Obamacare. You have to vote for him to find out what he is. He has no history. He has never been involved in any level of politics. He comes out and says he is Tea Party. Please. Obama had more of a track record, even with his "present" votes.

You mean that some guy can’t just show up claiming he’s a Tea Party-er guy and you won’t throw out a time tested conservative like Roberts?

The shame of it.

One can only pray this is true. An incumbent, who’s has been in the Senate since Moses crossed the Red Sea, at 41 percent? Not good for Pat’s team, because,75 percent of the Undecideds, always break for the challenger. So, 41% to 32%? One can only assume that 27% are “Undecided”. I’d have to put AT LEAST, 19% of the “Undies” in Wolf’s column on Election Day (if they show up to vote) making it Wolf 51% Roberts 49%. Go ahead; call me crazy.

The shame of it.

I know. I'm totally embarrassed. The original Tea Party gang. Cotton needs to look in his own backyard. I have to listen to a guy from Massachusetts tell me who I should vote for? This article about Robert's father? Do we need an article about Wolf's cousin? How lame.

That’s the ironic, the Milton Wolf fan club loves to scream that Roberts hasn’t “fought” for conservatives but they can’t cite a single time that Wolf has “fought” for conservatives because this guy NEVER lifted a finger to promote any of his “fearless conservative principles” until he discovered he was distantly related to Barack Obama and decided to embark on a Senate campaign.

One set of rules for the incumbent, and another for the challenger.

(Similar double standards in the Enzi vs. Cheney matchup... they trashed Enzi for not being “outspoken” enough but Liz Cheney never once mentioned being pro-life until she was a Senate candidate, and that was fine and dandy with them).

Not to mention there are plenty of people who have never held elective office but have a track record of fighting for conservative causes going back decades. Phyllis Schafley, Rush Limbaugh, John Bolton, etc., would have no problem citing numerous times they fought for conservative issues. Milton Wolf can’t. He’s the very thing he accuses Pat Roberts of being — someone who talks a good game but has done nothing. Interesting, isn’t it?
