Not necessarily. Many pro life folk refuse the medical tests that can diagnose Down Syndrome and other defects due to the risk to the baby.

But yes, some obviously do. Maybe some of these measures, like teaching them it’s not a death sentence, would help there.

actually, that’s a good point. I remember my wife and I refused that test when we were offered it when she was pregnant. They were really pushy for us to get it though, and I believe it had a risk!

I just looked it up, and it says 41% of mothers decide not to do the Down Syndrome test.

I guess that number plus the 10% that don’t abort seems to be consistent with the number of pro-life people in America. My faith in humanity is restored!
