That translation really misses the boat.

Considering both aides are full of thugs, I don’t care who wins this one.

Torez, Ukraine was named for French Communist leader Maurice Thorez. In the post-Soviet era, most cities and towns with Communist names went back to their original names, but for some reason, Torez did not.

I think this means Uk. attack plans succeeded in destroying two rebel ZSU-23's…?

I agree with the post above --I don't care who "wins" this as long as no US troops or treasure are expended in it.

None of our bee's wax.

Right through the Ukrainian-declared “Cease-fire” Zone.

So, it was a lie after all, right?

I do care who wins... Putin’s profile is remarkable like Hitler’s. We can can not appease. He needs to be stopped.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not
speak out— Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not
speak out— Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—
and there was no one left to speak for me.

Is there anyone who can unravel that narrative or make sense of the translation?
Who defeated or stopped whom?

Calling both sides "Ukrainian" is not the smartest or clearest war to report military events.

Anyone have any links to sort of kind of more clearly reports from the front?

Russia is striving to return to empire to take over Europe, and you don’t care?

Reagan defeated the evil empire and gave us a breather with Russia, but history didn’t end.

Well I do.

I will support and root for the thug who has not started taking chunks of neighboring countries' territory, and who is armed to the teeth with high tech weapons.
In other words, the underdog.

When Ukraine starts invading neighboring countries, I might reconsider.

“Considering both aides are full of thugs, I don’t care who wins this one.”

Why are we reprinting Ukrainian propaganda at Free Republic, anyway? You’re right, this is the Spanish Civil War in the East, and we should stay the hell out of it. I’ve seen way too much rah-rah here, taking Ukraine at it’s word on some tossed-baby caliber propaganda.

Ukraine has been rebuilding its army by calling up citizens. It’s not a fast process given how the billions the previous president and his crony stole. Some units are being equipped by donations.

Using the term thug indiscriminately ignores the reality of a people that just want to be left alone. Putler needs to be seriously hurt. Economic action that severely complicates his relationship with the of the oligarchs is in order.

I'm an anti-Russian but you're getting suckered on this. Obama is going to seize on this as a way to distract from the numerous domestic emergencies that he has engineered.

He's going to rally people around the flag and pretend he's a patriot. He'll drive our euro allies even further away from us and get a bunch of our guys killed.

At the least he'll drive energy prices way, way up.

Meanwhile, in nearby Dyakove, the 79th Airborne from Mykolayiv is cut off. Surrounded on 3 sides with it's back to Russia. Shelled constantly for nearly 2 weeks. "Mice in a trap." "No food." "Equipment destroyed."

So distressed are the wives of the paratroopers, they blockaded the Mykolayiv -Odessa Highway in protest.

I really think it time for a major assault in that direction, ala Patton to Bastogne. Just sayin'...

Please to be speaking in the English?

`Outpost’ (2007) A crack group of mercenaries in eastern Europe battle invincible Nazi zombies who are able to travel through time and space thanks to an SS time machine.
Finally, leader Ray Stevenson borrows dozens of bull, tiger and white sharks from `Sharknado’ and the Nazis fade away, calling it a draw but vowing revenge and a 4th Reich.

How far from the Kiev Coup Mechanized Brigade that's surrounded is this?

Maybe Kiev has learned the hard way to make sure captured and/or abandoned equipment has to be destroyed instead of left parked in front of the Waffle House.

No, you aren’t anti-Russian, you are pro-Russian and being snookered by our generations old enemy and are being absorbed by the left.

I’m not being suckered, I am watching the very same thing that I have been watching for over 50 years, I’m even starting to have 60s flashbacks from you pro-Russia (Soviet) activists.

Obama doesn't care about Ukraine. He has done little except to send food rations.

This is about the people of Ukraine who have been defending themselves against a Putin initiated cold war of sorts, long before Obama became president and who are now defending themselves in a hot war against Putin all without the help from anybody.

Those of us who have been on the Ukraine and Georgia vs. Russia threads for the past 10 or 15 years understand that this has nothing to do with Obama.
