The Obama administration, which is asking for more in the way of gun regulations — in terms of increased background checks for private sales and at gun shows — is actually prosecuting less of the gun laws already on the books. For a lot of people, there’s more ideological cache harassing Bubba at the gun show than getting a handle on gun crime.” That’s George Washington University’s Robert Cottrol commenting at washingtontimes.com on the fun fact that the Obama administration’s federal law enforcement operation is on pace this year to prosecute the fewest number of gun law violations since 2000 . . .

Weird huh? With all the documented "denials" through NICS, seems like after the false positives, the actual correct denials are pretty much ingnored. So, if that's the case, how much good will universal bgc's do if ALL firearms sales are run through NICS? Um, probably none. Of course the bad guys will immediately stop buying and selling guns if that were to be enacted. Right?

Prosecuting actual criminals might have, how shall we phrase this delicately, “disparate impact” and so is out of bounds for Holder and his gang. Better to create a whole new class of criminals of the right demographic.

Prosecuting violent criminals is a no no because they are a Democrat constituency. However, they did successfully get a “straw man” conviction when a police officer purchased a hand gun for his uncle.
