I always found that show to be way to condescending and was glad my kids didn’t like it. However, the real, hidden issue for the leftist is that Thomas the Tank Engine was written by a Methodist Minister (I Think)

It isn’t the weirdly implied racism the author objects to it is the ever so gently applied Christian morality, and general world view contained in the series that the left doesn’t like.

They are just not smart enough to realize why they don’t like the show and because - for them- everything boils down to skin color they call it racist.

It's the way of nature. I noticed that my pet bird will eagerly inspect light-colored food, and quickly eat it if edible, but dark-colored or black food doesn't even get the eye. Only a few exceptions like sunflower seeds, which seem to have a built-in attraction.
