No surprise on this.
A local tv station here in Indiana got a state file of TANF card swipes.
Vegas, Nevada brothels, Puerto Rico resorts, Disney (Ca and Fl) yadda yadda.

A bunch of lazy layabouts are using their EBT cards to buy pot? I’m shocked.

True, and feeding them subsidies from the working population doesn’t improve their integrity much it appears.

I wonder if National Review did a “bail out cash for cocaine” when Wall Street was bailed out back in 2008

Just like you can’t have the welfare state and open borders, you especially can’t have the welfare state and legalized drugs.

It seems to me the state could easily profit from this. Give the more ambitious bunch of layabouts the right to grow and distribute weed in return for lower cash payments. Give the less ambitious bunch of layabouts the right to receive payments in weed in return for lower cash payments.
The state saves money and they all still vote Democrat.

Food stamp and TANF abuse is epidemic.
In a volunteer job, I interview folks on these programs. Some of the stories I have heard are outrageous.

Easily solved: Federal bounty that splits half of the twelve month savings with the tipster. The welfare cheats are permanently banned from receiving any form of government aid, including loans for education or housing. That would end it within a few months.

So what did they use to buy illegal weed before? Cash from EBT cards, you say?
At least this returns about 15% of it back to CO. Kind of like a rewards card for welfare spending!
