W’s decision to go to war in Iraq is looking more and more foolish.

With all the money we spend on intelligence and the state department, you would think Bush's advisers would have told him Saddam is running Iraq as sanely as one can given what he has to govern. Taking out Saddam is like pulling the finger out of the dyke. We need a small government. We need common sense leadership.

With the neo-cons who STILL clearly have influence within the Republican party and throughout conservative circles (besides Rand Paul) sane foreign policy that you are advocating is a pipe dream.

So long as the Bill Kristol’s of the world get to spew their nonsense on Fox News and the Weekly Standard is a must read magazine for conservatives on the Hill, we will be dragged into dumbass wars and engagements that do nothing to improve our national security.

But that is how you keep the money flowing. There is no profit in peace

“Taking out Saddam is like pulling the finger out of the dyke.”

“Pulling the finger out of the dyke” is an unfortunate misspelling, with interesting implications. I think you meant to type “pulling the finger out of the dike.”
