The mother of Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that she drank alcohol and ran until she dropped in an attempt to abort him while she was pregnant.
Dolores Aveiro revealed the story in a biography called Mother Courage, which was released in Portugal today.
In the book, Mrs Aveiro admitted that she tried to abort Ronaldo who is the youngest of four children by drinking warm beer and running till she dropped following the refusal of doctors to carry out the procedure.
She said: I wanted to abort but the doctor didnt support my decision.
Mrs Aveiro whose husband Dinis died from alcohol-related liver damage in 2005 revealed that Ronaldo knew the story about her difficult pregnancy but had made jokes about the incident.
She said: He told me when he found out, Look mum, you wanted to abort and now Im the one whos pulling the purse-strings in the house.
Mrs Aveiro also addressed Ronaldos son, Cristiano Jr, in the biography and said that she had picked up the child whose mothers identity remains a secret from a Florida clinic four years ago while her son played in the World Cup in South Africa.
She said Ronaldo had told her he was going to have a child and wanted his mother to educate and love the boy.
Maybe that’s why he’s so good. Stress tested.
That's probably how she got pregnant as well.

All had mothers who were alcoholics when they were pregnant with their children.
While I don't believe they were "born that way" in the sense their DNA or brain was rewired in the womb, I do believe an alcoholic mother is major clue to what causes that particular disorder. Something about the mother besides being prone to alcholism maybe.
As the twig is bent and so on.
The apple rarely falls far from the tree. If the parent is messed up, how can a child growing up in such environment be anything but messed up?
Some things are better left unsaid. This is not flattering to the mother, and her son is still a victim of her big fat mouth, even now.
Too back large mouth sized corks are available at the local grocers...
