The apparent defeat caps a whirlwind several days for the White House, which responded to increasing calls for action — and criticism of Mr. Obama for his decision not to visit the border while fundraising in Texas last week — by seeking more spending.
Republican leaders such as Mr. Perry also have put the request into a larger context, noting that Mr. Obama allowed the problem to worsen over the past five years, then responded to public pressure by demanding that Congress pass his supplemental spending plan immediately.
“It is a very large amount of money, and as you analyze it, very little of it is for border security. And I think until he gets realistic about the problem and how you deal with the problem — and it is border security issue. And we’ve got a track record now of five-plus years of him disregarding what’s going on on the border,” Mr. Perry said on “Fox News Sunday.”
“So here’s his opportunity to truly lead. Don’t blame this on anyone. Be a leader. Lay out a plan. And I'll suggest to you, actually, the president doesn’t have to have this big amount of money,” the Texan said.

They need to come back with something appropriate in both size and scope to deal with the problem. The vast majority of the President’s request should be branded by the GOP as “the Welcome Wagon.” It didn’t deal with the problem, it simply paid to keep all those people here.
The Army, and not the National Guard, should be at the border.
The National Guard is just folks like us—no need to tear them away from their jobs and families for indefinite border duty.
We have 23,000 troops in Korea and thousands of hot weather hardened troops in Afghanistan that can be deployed.
After all, isn’t 64 years enough time to secure Korea? They have plenty of money to take care of their own defense.

Of course, Obama will say he has a plan. That plan, of course, has no details. The plan is to just spend money buying votes.
The media will applaud that plan and accuse the Republicans of not caring about the children who are the harmless pawns of the Democrat created crisis.
The media that covers for Obama and hides the truth from the American people is the real enemy of a free America.
Good move. For once, these people in Congress and the senate, decided to do something right. Let me tell you what this money is going to be used for. 10% of the money will be used to take care of these children and 90% will be used to pay the lawyers, chosen to prevent these children from being sent back.

The border needs to be closed with Mexico NOW and the US Army deployed there and a fence system built.

If they don’t hear from you, they just assume they can BS their way through this and make political points.
Obama had endangered the security of the entire nation to get more Democrat voters.
What cash are they using to fly illegals all over the country and pay more illegals $6,000.00 a month to board them . Horrific human trafficking and we are paying for it.
I suggest that they take money out of the budget of DHS and Border Patrol for failure to do their job of securing the border and give it to someone else who will secure the border like the National Guard.
Let the DNC pay for this fiasco. After all isn’t this just one big Democratic Party registration drive anyways?
