I’d rather prefer to respond to your comments, not anyone else’s. The notion that you would even think of this subject in terms of WW2 is somewhat disturbing.

Who the heck is Bastian Schweinsteiger, isn’t that a castle in Hungry? I know he is relation to Ray Lewis.

Google wouldn’t have spent a month celebrating the foreign World Cup had they known White people would win. Whoops

It is a dishonest rigged game were players and refs throw contests for money. Any contest run by loan sharks in Asia for ten grr a contest isn’t really a sport, it is fixed.

And the answer to your question when it rivals football, basketball, and baseball in popularity then it will be OK but I’ll be dead by then and I won’t care.

In other news Putin has called for a New World Order and a world currency.

I have better things to do than Soccer, it is boring, they don’t score, it ends in a tie, and the refs and players are for sale and everyone knows it is dishonest. It is a perfect third world game. Oh yes I know Germany is not third world. They are second world.

The real problem of the Polish football is the selection. Actually, this has nothing to do with real national preferences or even skills of the players. It's only led by an economic interest of the local branch of FIFA, utterly corrupted and truly inaccessible for anybody else from outside. Full stop!
Then, it's nothing more misleading than calling them “The Team of Poland”, etc.
IT'S THE TEAM OF POLAND'S BRANCH OF FIFA, AND NOTHING ELSE!
That's why I don't care about the game at all. The only thing I can't stand is making the game something of “the war of the world” and those disgusting tones of triumph. To me, a regular Pole, it really does not matter who wins, except for Germans. After all, it's just a sports game. However, seeing that German national triumphalism, hearing that language full of triumphant slogans, etc., is something of a dejavu, something that sends me back in time to something completely different.

I know some FReepers don't care about soccer. Doesn't bother me one bit. The FReepers who don't care about soccer so much that they feel the need to tell me simply are funny.

A great game indeed, and a great goal by Germany to win it.

Soccer is not my favorite sport, its not even be in my top 3, but at this level, I can get into it.

As for the haters, who cares what you think. Like I tell my kids, the more you can find to enjoy in life, the more joy you will have. The hatred of soccer is silly, no, pathetic actually.

The leftist media tells dragnet2 conservatives are supposed to be morons who can't deal intelligently with anything outside their comfort zone.

He happily obliges them, and insults you for failing to obey the official leftist media rules for conservatism.

Ever heard of a game that ends not when the clock says it ends, but when an official says it ends? Strangest game I’ve ever seen in my life. And players faking injuries all over the field.

Brasil did a great job staging this. Too bad their side did not so well in the semis, but the project was completed and done well. Lots of jobs were created and maybe something will be made in the long run.
