WHAT? I heard Henry Kissinger say on the news in 2008 after Obama won election that Zero was brought in to ‘implement the New World Order.” Was Putin sleeping, or does he want to do it now that everything is screwed up, or is he mad that he’s not getting his share of undocumented illegals....does he need a new maid, chauffeur, or butler?

Putin and Obama seem to have the same goals.

A weak, useless USA

Putin once again reminding us all how badly the U.S. and western Europe have underestimated him and his abilities. He’s re-establishing Russian influence in our backyard, and he’s likely to accomplish it in exchange for a relatively bargain price. 32 billion in Cuban debt isn’t chump change, but it isn’t that much in the grand scheme of things, either. That’s less than a month’s worth of Fed “quantitative easing” stimulus into the U.S. housing markets, to look at it another way. A few surplus tanks to this country, some industrial machinery to that country, etc.

This is also what happens when you embrace some cockamamie notion of “soft power” and pooh-pooh the idea of American exceptionalism. International politics, like nature, abhors a vacuum.

Putin calls for a new world order

Let's get this one world government, one world religion and one world standard of living bill passed. We have to pass the bill to find out what's in it. Wait a minute . . . .

Falklands.
What’s to negotiate, Pootie? It would be like my neighbor claiming my car because I park it in the street in front of his house.
“Let’s negotiate.” Let’s not and we’ll say that we did.
“New world order” Wouldn’t be prudent, not gonna do it ya jackboot.

“He also voiced his support for Argentina’s longstanding claim to the Falkland Islands, the British territory it calls the Malvinas, which sparked a 1982 war between the two countries.”

Great, more fires being set.

Thanks, Obama. Well more like thanks, you idiots that voted for him TWICE.

"To treat Ukraine as part of an East-West confrontation would scuttle for decades any prospect to bring Russia and the West — especially Russia and Europe — into a cooperative international system. ....For the West, the demonization of Vladimir Putin is not a policy; it is an alibi for the absence of one." - Henry Kissinger

32 billion in Cuban debt isn’t chump change, but it isn’t that much in the grand scheme of things, either

Cuba could never pay that back anyway, so this "debt forgiveness" is as much a bow to reality as anything. I think the new figure Russia is asking for from Cuba is 4-5 billion which there is at least some reasonable way to work out over the long term.

I agree Putin understands that Obama is a feckless, weak US President, but Russia has so many deep problems of their own that they just can't come close to living up to the image Putin is trying to create.

Russia now has a Ukraine, which Russians consider their backyard and will never be an empire without dominating, as a near mortal enemy. This Ukraine, at the loss of Crimea in the short term, has turned completely to the West. And Russia's actions have hardened anti-Russian feelings amongst many of it's neighbors - again, neighbors it needs to be able to control if it ever hopes to rebuild anything close to an empire. In short, Russia is a threat but not nearly as tough as Putin would have folks believe.

In order to achieve ‘ a cooperative international system’, it takes more than one party to want that goal. Russia sees an opportunity to surpass the West in influence.
Instant Karma

Obama has caused a power vacuum since he has caused America to decline in stature. The vacuum will be filled and we won’t be able to do a thing about it.
