Good morning, and thanks for the post. I hope that Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill, has something enlightening to say about the slaughter of innocents, either in or near his district, all summer long because of runaway guns who shoot themselves off and strike Luis’ constituents (or people who live very close to them)

Perry could score some points for 2016, depending on how he handles the border crisis.

Will he stand up or stand aside?

Those of us who are “heartless” are awaiting his response.

Obama is complaining that the Boehner lawsuit is going to cost tax dollars.

That's rich — as Obama is on a 15-day vacay at taxpayers’ expense. How much did Michelle's last vacay cost? Seems like it was around $44 million.

McCain managed to squeeze in a few minutes on SOTU. Graham has been laying low from the Sunday morning news-talkies.

Rubio claims he can beat Hillary. Poor guy still has the stench from the Gang of 8 all over his shoes. He will never get that stench off.

Depending on which early poll, Romney, Christie, Huckabee, JBush, Cruz, Carson, Daffy Duck is the GOP front-runner for 2016.

Morning AB, All....

.....So today is my cooking day as most of you might know. I have some shrimp out to thaw as they make a great little dish with some cocktail sauce. I find that with just feeding myself I am having to adjust all my quantities, indeed even my choices as cooking for beloved husband was very different than preparing meals just for me.

Beloved deceased husband would never, for example, eat shrimp of any kind. He’s born in Indiana and those folks think seafood is immoral.

Gerald, the black and white cat who always helps me cook, however, considers shrimp quite the delicacy and so I must cover, and hide and watch the shrimp as I drain it in a colander that hooks over my sink.

Well Gerald, despite the cutting board and kitchen items piled on top of it spends many minutes pondering how to get to the draining shrimp and next thing I hear crashes and falls and the sound of tinkling metal.

Gerald begins to MEOW very loudly and as I rush to see what the hell I note Gerald is trying to get his paw out of something, there are utensils all over the floor and shrimp are everywhere.

Somehow Gerald got his CLAW stuck in one of the little colander holes and folks, it was agony and screaming, both human and cat, as I tried to wrest his claw out of that little hole.

I might need to obtain some type O blood but I did get Gerald’s claw out of the hole.

He was on his last legs, life was ebbing from him, only the shrimp could save him. Psssst, what’s one claw when you got a big pile of shrimp?

Thank you AB for doing this thread every week and big this week I suspect will be that border problem.

If ever there was a ham-handed move by a Presidents it’s this one. Most Americans didn’t even know about this onslaught at the border and it would have been better to not to show it for all of the country to see.

We understand fences and locks out here in la-la land and I think one of the more revealing glimpses this past week was that video that went viral of that black woman ranting about all this.

AND SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!

She said it all even better than I could.

Perry is talking out of both sides of his mouth: we gotta take care of the kids already here, but we need to send a message to the CA countries.

[Similary to what Graham advocates: we need to give Obama a blank check to deal with this kids, but we need to stop of the flow of kids.]

Hume does point out that the border agents are relatively neutralized in actually defending the border, as they are now babysitting the flow of kids.

Michael McCaul (R-TX) is not very impressive on this issue. He is mixing the emotional ‘for the children’ mantra with needs to change existing laws.

We need new laws to deal with the humanitarian crisis. We don’t want large human care warehouses. We need to act on the crisis soon. We need to treat Mexican and OTM children the same. Yada yada yada.

ProObama, and Hyperliberal Brit Hume takes the chair
at FOX.

At intro:
Hume starts with that Israel attacked Gaza and IGNORES the cause.
Then, Hume claims the S. Border is a crisis and IGNORES the cause.

Acting like a fool, Hume interviews Gov. Perry,
and he actually “wonders” before Gov. Perry what the Border Patrol
might do? Perry correctly notes the Border Patrol has retreated
by 40 miles, and even the appearance of LEO would be beneficial.
Perry clearly defines the problems with the Border.

In response, Lib Hume ignores it and claims the Border Patrol
is useless, and again Perry rebuts him,
but he is ignored.

Ignoring the obvious, Hume: “If (the children) have
gotten this far, (why would they) be deterred by (armed) troops?”

Perry again answers, and points out that we MUST
“staunch the bleeding .... It is the most humanitarian
thing we can do”. Again, Perry points out that
some of the LEO can arrest, and proObama Hume says they cannot.

So, trying to change the subject and ignoring this,
Hume takes Obama’s side regarding something
Obama said after the Texas visit, blaming Perry.
Hume: “Will you pressure the Texas delegation”

Perry acts Presidential and focuses the issue
again; and says that Obama should have gone to the border.

Again, Hume takes the side of Obama, while calling
the narcoterrorists, criminal illegals and
infected mules as the “children” over and over,
and says they must be “cared for by the government”.
{No mention made of the concentration camps closed
to Congress and journalists, and the gagging of
doctors and nurses, and secret transport to 57 states}.

Gov. Perry: “That Law must be changed.
(Congress) understands that; (but ....)
To staunch the flow you do not need a change of law.”

Bottom line:
Gov. Rick Perry did great, explaining the problem in
detail, and demanding “boots on the ground” such
as “There should be National Guard troops on the border.”

Hume protects Obama in every conversation and ignores
the diseases, conspiracies, coverup, terrorists,
doctor-gagging, nurse-gagging, and
Congressional-wall off.
By implication, Lib Hume and FOX News continue
to be a Obama/Romney channel.

Listening to the panel discuss the invasion of children is exasperating.

Somebody do something, but don’t send them back because that is inhumane. Change the law. [They aren’t enforcing the existing laws, so what good will new laws be?]

==

The pols and pundits want the appearance of resolution without engaging in physical solutions.

==

How about this: Stop those trains, etc., on the Mexican side and make it Mexico’s problem to deal with the kids. Mexico would solve the situation in a week — because they don’t want the problem. Currently, they are just playing the conduit and probably getting well paid for it.

Damn....CBS Face the Nation is exposing Hamas and the Palestinians....showing the Israeli pilots standing down when they suspect kids in the targeted areas.

During the demo/explanation the Israeli spokesperson received a smartphone alert that Hamas had just launched a missile toward a particular town in Israel. Earlier, Netanyahu was able to do the same, I understand.

Fox News Sunday was awful this week. Guests wouldn’t answer questions and panel spoke their talking points. And what’s with having 3 liberals lined up against Laura Ingraham? Woodward/Rove/Williams versus Ingraham?

Never noticed before how slow Brit Hume is getting in his responses. Wonder if he has a health issue?
