In an unusual move that is getting some national political buzz, the chairman of the Missouri Republican Party is asking the national GOP to investigate campaign ads and robocalls that attacked Mississippi Tea Party candidate Chris McDaniel in his failed attempt to unseat U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran, R-Miss.

Missouri Republican Party Chairman Ed Martin has requested that Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus appoint a task to investigate the “racially divisive” ads and robocalls that alleged McDaniel had racist ties.

He wouldn’t be doing that if there wasn’t heavy evidence on the ground.

It’s coming out.

Follow the money to McConnell and kick his *ss out of Congress!

Same thing I thought when Mitch came out and said, "Er uh, there's going to be a challenge but it's just normal stuff, move along, nothing to see."

I’ve heard it said that people in Mississippi tend to vote dem in local and state elections, but Republican in the national elections. That’s very similar to the way voting patterns were, until about 20 yrs ago, in my old stomping grounds in Rockland Cty, NY.

I appreciate his effort, he’s obviously a real Conservative.

Per Reince's instructions, any evidence should be mailed here:

It's easy to find: a few miles from Rachel, NV on Hwy 375 (The Extra Terrestial Highway).

What better way to cover up than to ask the fox to guard the hen house. This guy in MO knows how to cover up, make a fuss then say nothing to see here all is well.

That has been changing in Mississippi, there is only one of eight statewide positions held by a democrat in Mississippi. My county, Desoto, has 5 municipalities and I believe is the 4th most populous county in the state, I don’t know of any elected democrat holding a county or city office in this county. We gave senator McDaniel 62.9% of the vote In the primary and 70% in the runoff with probably a 20% turnout increase in the runoff, carrying all 39 precincts both times. Many counties and small towns are controlled by democrats and I believe closed primaries would help the Republican party in these areas.

I think a lot in Tennessee do the same thing. Some of our Democrats have been more conservative than Republicans.
