After the Fall
New York Young Republican Club ^ | July 8, 2014 | William Michael

What will be left, post-stock market crash, post-Obama, post-Arab Spring? These are timely questions to consider. This conclusion is meant to say what could happen, not what is inevitable.

Socially, the United States is a country that is divided as ever, with very little faith in government and its leaders. Due to a long and purposeful depression, a new generation will emerge that is out of touch with American values, does not understand nor support capitalism, and is comfortable with gangs entering popular culture and the lives of the former middle class.

Politically, the establishment wings of both Democrat and Republican parties are out touch, and seem perfectly content feeding the beast that is the Federal Government’s bureaucracy. The regulatory state, which exists to perpetuate itself while burdening the tax payer and business owner, is already, but will become more so, predatory. Obama, with his disregard for the rule of law, will leave an office of the presidency (that is, we hope he’ll leave) that does indeed resemble the office of a dictator. The Constitution is already in tatters due to selective enforcement and executive orders, and neither party seems to want to address this fundamental issue. The normative state – the Constitution, the laws on the books –will continue to erode, while a prerogative state – the dictatorial – gains new acceptance. Targeting of political enemies may become routine.

We will have to find out if God forgives us for killing off all the leftists in the country. I, for one, plan to be truly repentant.

In How The West Was Won, Karl Malden played a character named Zebulon Prescott. He had a line which seems an applicable prayer:

"O Lord, without consulting with Thee, we have sent thy way some souls whose evil ways passeth all understanding. We ask Thee humbly to receive them... whether you want them or not! Amen."

"What will be left, post-stock market crash, post-Obama, post-Arab Spring?"

Bond collapse, skyrocketing interest rates, then stock market crash (not now, not the big crash), economic activity shutting down, layoffs, repudiation of debt in stages, import prices skyrocket, bond investor haircuts, pensioner haircuts, more bond collapse resulting from earlier causes, higher interest rates, re-falls in stocks, more layoffs, big austerity measures with big government layoffs, vicious re-cycle...

Oh—forgot to mention the foreign decoupling from the dollar. That’s already happening and has been for some time. See skyrocketing import prices. In regard to our lack of manufacturing on U.S. soil, the dollar is very unnaturally high in international terms (trade deficits, balance of payments deficits, etc.).

The Constitution fades out and a prerogative, dictatorial state emerges. In other words, the former America descends into third-world hell.

I agree, because the leftists will most assuredly be hunting us. I’m growing ever more convinced somewhere in a warehouse is the DHS round of ammo that will end my life. Beats a long, painful death as a FEMA camp prisoner.

I’m worried about the dollar losing reserve currency standard... If that goes we’re just one more broke third world country... or close to it.

Not quite. They will torture the Constitutuon to make it say whatever they want it to say, Theyll never “get rid of the Constitution” because doing so openly admits what they’re doing is anti-American. They can’t have that.

I don't disagree with all the very real, extremely concerning issues you've touched upon. However, I think we can right the ship and come out fine, if we can find our way politically.

When you look at the world, who's the competition? China? No way. In our worst moment we have more creativity by accident than China has mustered on purpose. This, in IMHO, is a consequence of now multi-generations of top-down government and an a politically-driven culture that overvalues conformity. Russia? Hardly. India? Great IT, but huge issues with population, poverty, and internal political turmoil. Europe? So many countries in the EU are way worse off than we are even close to.

My point is that the whole world is in flux right now, and we are far from being out of the game, if we get our act together. I agree with you, however, that there serious concerns, and we will pay a price if we don't start addressing them soon.

Maybe you can do it there in TX but not here in Maryland, the libs have the clear numbers here and we gots gun laws here O ' Malley land.

BTW: Hundreds of potential Dem voters just arrived in Texas today, but the good news is Obama says he's visiting your state, I assume to let them know about his amnesty program. .

Theirs is a disease that will eventually kill itself off. The only thing we really have to worry about is protecting ourselves, our families, and to the extent possible our communities so that it don’t take us with it.

Political Independence may become a necessary tool toward that end in time, so we will need to lay down the ground work. Social independence is also necessary so Control of the Public school system to specifically teach about economic and political freedom as created by a written Constitution of limited Governmental power. Is also extremely important insofar as we are able to protect our community.

We are entering a dark age for freedom, a dictatorship is likely, as Obama style political warfare intensives. With a now effectively meaningless Constitution of no longer limited Government, its only a matter of time before eventually someone finds and uses the power necessary to successful shutting down the opposition practically. That is the foundation of the formative stages of the Dictatorship.

The Demographic collapse and replacement of our population and culture with those quite accustomed to political tyranny is of course the demographic foundation.

There are still enough of us left to fight this, but we need to concentrate our numbers into a country where we can take control of theses.

"When you look at the world, who's the competition? China? No way. In our worst moment we have more creativity by accident than China has mustered on purpose."

That's true about our recent past and our forefathers. But now it's against the law (zoning) to start a tiny manufacturing shop in the middle of nowhere in a very sparsely populated Republican County. Building a small house on a large lot with no nearby neighbors requires all of the latest permits, impact fees and engineering fees of places like New York.

"However, I think we can right the ship and come out fine, if we can find our way politically."

Agreed! We need creativity and more. We need American ingenuity, and that doesn't always come from the boardrooms of the most influential, government-linked political constituents and their associates in public offices. We also need the kind of morality hardly seen for decades in the U.S.A.

Leviathan (Uncle Sam employs more people than you think)
National Review ^ | 02/03/2011 | Iain Murray
"...nearly 40 million Americans employed in some way by government."

As the bipartisan regulations in state and local governments won't be dealt with, then no sale, no vote and no deal. Recently, as they continued receiving federal funding for their salaries, they've been pushing to change our Constitution to give them even more discretion to rob their neighbors.

The decline will continue to consequences (no debt/revenues remaining for enforcement against American rights: human rights), then we'll do the rebuilding. The descendants of current political/regulator folks will then buy from us.

Not all of them are very good students of history; we will have a heads up because the current crop of enablers are going to be the first to go. They are a drain on the “system” that wants to wipe “US” out. We are in the secondary wave of murder after the “47%” is cleansed heartily. Its all in the history books over and over again.
