BREAKING: Texas and California Militia Unite to Defend the Border
Conservative Tribune ^ | July 6 2014 | Conservative Tribune

The lack of action on border security from the Obama administration has prompted a wide variety of responses. State officials close to the situation in Texas and Arizona have called for federal assistance but have received little response, leaving them to do what they can with their own resources.

Civilian protestors have coordinated to challenge the transportation of illegal immigrants throughout the country by Department of Homeland Security agents. Other civilians, organized into militia groups, have moved troops to Arizona and Texas to assist in closing a border that the federal government seems content to leave open despite the growing violence.

Now California militia members have united with their comrades in Texas to support state efforts, challenge Obama’s apathy, and assist in securing the nation’s southern border.

From Fox News:

Free Republic founder Jim Robinson posted this on the popular conservative internet forum on Friday evening.

We have independent units from the Bolinas Border Patrol and the Central Valley Citizens militia joining forces with independent citizens militia units of Texas to defend our southern border in Texas, to protest Obama’s lawless open borders policies and to rally support for Governor Perry to officially call out Guard units and Texas militia units at his disposal to defend the border!! Lawsuits will not cut it. The invasion is happening now. Action must be taken NOW!!

Lawsuits have indeed been threatened, and more will no doubt come as this president and his administration continue to ignore their duty, trample on the rights of Americans, and flout both the law and the Constitution.

Under the guise of humanitarianism, Obama is cynically using the hopes of tens of thousands of immigrants for his own personal gain, despite the dire consequences for them and for his own citizens.

Closing the border with civilian militia may not be the optimal manner in which to address the growing border crisis. But it certainly tops the alternative which, from the Washington Obamacrats, appears to be nothing.

Please share this article on Facebook and Twitter if you support civilian efforts to close the border in lieu of federal action.

“I think the left is just salivating at the chance for martial law to be declared.”

Declaring it is one thing - enforcing it is entirely different. If anyone is killed by a member of the DHS SWAT team in Murrieta it will signify the opening of a long, long hunting season on DHS (and other government) agents. It will not be pretty nor will it end as well as .gov thinks.

If fired upon first, I don’t have a shred of doubt what’ll happen next.

IF — and you’d best pray it’s the most humongous “IF” ever in all of American history — DHS fires on the militia, that will be the first fusillade in CWII.

I wouldn’t expect the GOP to come down on the right side of that, either; they are, as the Almighty once labeled a fading Egypt, “a splintered reed.”

Another important consideration on why the government doesn’t want a confrontation is because there’s no guarantee that Federal officers will actually participate in one.

And what happens if/when Federal officers start refusing to obey orders?

People, I think, don’t give Federal officers enough credit. Iirc there were clear indications, posted in threads here, during the Bundy Ranch situation that the Federal officers wanted no part of a showdown, and were clearly communicating that up their chains of command.

Then consider all the NPS Rangers who found other directions to look in, other places to be, during the whole barrycades civil disobedience during the shutdown ...

There must surely be someone in DHS with enough math skills to figger out that 100 million Americans armed to the teeth with 300 million privately owned firearms is force that shouldn’t be stick-poked? Probably should be talked to politely. Probably shouldn’t be yellow-taped out of public rights-of-way. Probably shouldn’t be confined to free-speech-areas. And probably shouldn’t have publicly owned weapons pointed at them?

Confronting un-armed citizens with burp guns, as with Elian Gonzales, is career-risky at best.

Yes, since they have been so far unable to confiscate your guns via the legislative or judicial processes, use of executive powers is their only remaining alternative.

Once done, you really will see fundamental change.

Interesting, I hadn’t heard that the Feds in Nevada were unwilling to fight. The few videos I saw showed them looking like a—holes and quite confrontational. Can you send me some links?
