The recent illegal immigration crisis, conveniently whipped up by President Obama and his cronies, has become a hot topic of discussion in the media.
Many liberals are calling for amnesty to be granted to the thousands of unaccompanied children that are pouring into the country, filling up emergency shelters all across the border states.
Conservatives on the other hand want the current immigration laws on the books to be enforced and the border to be secured to stop illegals from gaining access to America.
Bill O’Reilly recently decided to tackle the subject of illegal immigration on his Fox News program, offering a solution so full of common sense it’s likely to baffle the political class in Washington.
O’Reilly outlined a plan for immigration reform that involved the U.S. border being permanently patrolled by the Army, and would prohibit illegal adults from receiving welfare benefits.

O’Reilly said that President Barack Obama must demand that Mexico police its own borders. This means preventing tens of thousands of illegal aliens from crossing into Mexico from Guatemala, as well as stopping human smugglers and border intruders from crossing into the U.S. On the other side of the border, the American Army should also be patrolling. If Mexico doesn’t cooperate on the border issue, Obama should threaten trade sanctions.
Next, “The Factor” host said that undocumented aliens should have to register at a local post office within three months, providing their name, age, country of origin and U.S. address. If they don’t, it would be a felony and they would go to a federal prison upon conviction.

I think that’s actually a violation of our treaty with Mexico. What we need is a new Border Patrol with tens of thousands of members (former military?) and every tool and dollar we can give them.

If you put up a big fence and on the other side have a sign that says “lots and lots of free stuff and we won’t be mad that you climbed the fence” everyone with climb the fence. Border security is meaningless. People need to not be able to come here illegally and get free education. healthcare, drivers licenses, in state tuition, jobs, etc., etc..
Of course, O Reilly and Fochs News would never call for 100% Deportation...they support Illegal Alien Amnesty

I think Mexico encouraging its citizens to wantonly violate our borders is causus belli.

This is the right procedure and arm with the best military weapons that can be provided. O'Reilly's idea might be just a temporary solution while Border Patrol agents can be hired and trained. Especially shooting range proficiency.
