MS Tea Party President says at least 800 Hinds Co. voters crossed over illegally

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Mississippi Tea Party President says they've found evidence that nearly 800 voters crossed over in Tuesday's runoff election that should not have been allowed to vote Republican.

However, Hinds County GOP Chairman Pete Perry says there are some precincts where he knows workers marked the wrong column and that could account for at least 200 of those being cited by the Tea Party.

Members of McDaniel's campaign staff and some supporters began sorting through voter books on Thursday morning at the Hinds County courthouse.

They were looking for any "irregularities".

In Hinds County, poll workers used the Democratic primary books for the GOP runoff in an attempt to prevent crossover voters.

However, the group from McDaniel's camp is still searching those records to try to find anyone who voted as a Democrat on June 3rd and with the GOP on the 24th (the runoff.)

Much more this story in our newscasts tonight.

800 irregular votes found already in just one county? They have to overturn this result.

Right, but you can’t vote in the Republican runoff if you voted in the Democratic primary

I hope IF they have a replacement run-off that they triple check before a voter is allowed to cast a ballot.

Heck, I’d drive over to MS and volunteer to help!!!

you can’t vote in the Republican runoff if you voted in the Democratic primary

That makes good sense, and hopefully they know who voted in the earlier election.

Time to bring in "Hanging Chad" and scour those rolls!

[ I thought Mississippi had an open primary? ]

It is psuedo open...

Anyone can vote for the INITIAL Dem/Republican primary.

If there is a RUNOFFF, If you voted in the INITIAL REPUBLICAN primary you CANNOT VOTE in the RUNOFF DEMOCRAT PRIMARY or vice-versa.

If you DID NOT vote in either of the INITIAL Primaryies you are ALLOWED TO VOTE IN EITHER RUNOFF..

It is setup this way in order to prevent people from voting in their own primary then cvoting in a DIFFERENT runoff, becasue of they did it would essentually be them voting TWICE.

Another reason for “closed” primary elections. You have to be a registered Republican/Democart/Independent etc., to vote in that party’s primary.

So essentially the folks that voted in the demorat primary already “picked their guy” so when the Republican Primary went to run off you cannot vote again because you “Already picked your guy”.

People who didn’t vote in the initial primary were able to vote in the Runoff becasue they hadn’t “Picked their guy” yet.

This is why the Robocall did have the line in that says “If you didn’t vote in the Democrat primary” of course the Rats used such Hysterical language that a case could be made that such inflamitory wallpapering of this negated it.

[ Another reason for “closed” primary elections. You have to be a registered Republican/Democart/Independent etc., to vote in that party’s primary. ]

Heck, I would even be for a Somewhat Open Primary law that said that if you register as a Party you have to vote for that party in their primary, but if you register as an unaffiliated/ independent(not independent party) you could vote in the other primaries, but only in ONE per office the primary was for.

So you could register as an independent and vote in any primary or register as a R/D and be “Locked in” concerning primaries.

But that might be complex for the LIV people out there so just leave it to Closed primaries with a Party registration lock in window that says you can only change your party affiliation X number of weeks before a primary if you try to change to soon before a primary your forfeit being able to vote in ANY primary.

Get ready for the “stealing the election” mantra ala ALGORE in Floridia. The Tea Party will be blamed for stealing the election, and we will be demonized severely for it....... But we know all of this already, don’t we? We live in extremely dangerous times, Ladies and Gentlemen!
