O’DONNELL: What Difference Does It Make: IRS Edition
The Washington Times ^ | Tuesday, June 25, 2014 | Christine O'Donnell

SNIP

As you may know, last year I was told by a TIGTA (IRS’ in-house watchdog) investigator that, on the very same day I announced my 2010 U.S. Senate candidacy, a government official inappropriately accessed my private tax records. Then just hours later, an erroneous tax lien was placed on a house I no longer owned. The dubious lien then was widely circulated in the media throughout my entire campaign.

After spending countless hours on hold with the IRS and being pawned off to numerous IRS operators, I was finally told that the lien was caused by a “computer error.” Oops!

It took years to get that erroneous tax lien off of my credit report, and it still pops up now and then. Dang computers! (insert sarcastic emoticon.)

But the computer saga doesn’t end there.

Last July, congressional investigators requested a copy of the computer records detailing who pried into my tax files and why. And guess what? Oops, again. Those records were most likely destroyed, we were told.

Fast forward about five months … the IRS magically found the “destroyed” records. They must have been misplaced during the last cubicle swap. Golly.

And wouldn’t you know it, the newly recovered records showed no evidence of wrongdoing.

That’s when the House Ways and Means Committee stepped in. Why do the rediscovered computer records contradict the information told to me by the TIGTA investigator? I still don’t know. Despite at least three ongoing federal investigations (TIGTA, US Senate Judiciary Committee and now the Ways and Means Committee), there still are no answers because of effective stonewalling by this administration.

Nixon only talked about using the IRS to target politico foes.

The Democrats, under Obama, have done it over and over again.

What happened to Christine O'Donnell, Mitt Romney and the National Organization for Marriage as well as Tea Party groups would have brought down a Republican administration

Absolutely that's what would happen.

I have among my clients tax return preparers. I work very hard to make sure they comply with IRS privacy regulations because it is a federal crime if they don't. But it is also a federal crime for anyone with the IRS to disclose a taxpayer's information. This IRS does it to provide ammunition against Obama's political opponents and the politicized DOJ doesn't even bother to investigate.

Harry Reid claimed that "a friend told him that Romney paid no taxes."

Therefore, the "friend" broke the law by revealing IRS information.

Therefore Harry Reid broke the law by not reporting the "friend."

Why is Harry Reid immune from the law?

Why is this entire administration above the law?

Because Obama was very careful to pick a corrupt political crony as his AG to make sure he would never be called on any of this.

I swear Obama must be very frustrated. I think he's desperately trying to egg people into a domestic shooting war. He keeps pushing and pushing pushing. Every day he think of new outrages or bits of arrogance he or his minions can fling into our faces.

And still, we sit back and take it. We talk and complain, but we don't DO anything that would justify martial law.

He must be awfully frustrated: "Michelle -- what do I have to do to make these people cross the line????"

Because the RHINOs have no guts to do a damned thing to this fascist or any of his ilk. Holder, Clinton, Kerry, Lerner and the rest of corrupt trrash he surrounded himself with. Including his wife.

I had forgotten this story. Brings the IRS into sharper focus.
