Seeking to mobilize a global front against anti-gay violence and discrimination, Vice President Joe Biden declared Tuesday that protecting gay rights is a defining mark of a civilized nation and must trump national cultures and social traditions.
Biden told a gathering of U.S. and international gay rights advocates that President Barack Obama has directed that U.S. diplomacy and foreign assistance promote the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender men and women around the world
"I don't care what your culture is," Biden told about 100 guests at the Naval Observatory's vice presidential mansion. "Inhumanity is inhumanity is inhumanity. Prejudice is prejudice is prejudice."
With anti-gay laws taking root in nearly 80 countries, Biden and other top White House officials met with religious, human rights and HIV health care advocates in a forum dedicated to promoting gay rights internationally.
Biden, who has emerged as a leading gay rights advocate within the Obama administration ever since he got ahead of Obama in declaring his support for gay marriage, said that across U.S government agencies officials have been instructed to make the promotion of gay rights abroad a priority.

The American economy is worse than anytime in my 60 years of memory. Arguably it’s worse today than in the 1930’s because then we were on the gold standard and the money you had stayed good. The nation is literally being invaded from the south by people who will do nothing to improve the economy or job picture and this invasion is neither acknowledged or addressed. The world in general closely resembles 1938 from the perspective of authoritarian regimes jockeying for invasions. An army, which may number up to 330 million strong and straight from the ninth century is hand-chopping and beheading its way across the economically important middle east. So, what is it we hear most frequently from this administration? That’s right, gay and lesbian rights. Even if I were wildly in favor of gay, lesbian and trans-gender issues, I think I’d be more concerned about the real problems in the world.
The enemy is out in the open. Not that I’m for gay discrimination, but elevating it above all else is ridiculous and self serving.

Just as we have compassion for the innocence of children, the Klown and his Evil Friend would bury us in the spawn of Central America’s slums, we have this “idea” of humanity and the civility with which folks should be treated and it is used against us and our faces are rubbed in indecency and perversion and then we are told “it is a good thing”.

Wait...I thought liberals despised infringing on the autonomy of other cultures which may be superior to our own. Aren’t they still hating on the early European settlers for wiping out Native American culture? But it’s ok for them to trump indigenous cultures to force this on them.
Should they send in the marines? I mean, beheading videos, murdering ambassadors, terrorism, female circumcision, honor killings and all that are one thing. But they don’t even have any gay bars!

Didn’t the Bible say we would see a time when good would be called evil and evil would be called good?..I think we are there. Evil cannot reign until good is overturned and hidden from public view. Witness the Christian persecution taking place all around the world and in this nation, too. But, more than that, witness the corruption and censorship going on in the media, the big society megaphone. Witness the corruption inherent in those “lost” IRS emails. Look at the polls. America gets it, yet, the smugness of that commissioner yesterday in that hearing was the poster for what is going on at the highest levels of our government. They think they have the dictatorship all wrapped up in pretty paper. And, they may be right.
