They may teach business classes at Brooklyn College, but the schools liberal leaders have told two of the countrys top businessmen to take their money and shove it because they dont like their conservative politics, a veteran faculty member charges.
The CUNY college has turned down a $10 million grant offer from the Koch brothers, said business professor Mitchell Langbert who called the decision by School of Business Dean William Hopkins a knee-jerk reaction to the mega-rich industrialists support of Republican causes.
Its political correctness. Its intolerance about anyone who doesnt toe the left-wing line, Langbert told The Post.
Langbert was so upset that he fired off a letter to members of the state Senate Education Committee protesting the schools refusal to take the donation.
The Charles G. Koch Foundation has repeatedly called Brooklyn College and me personally with an offer of as much as a $10 million grant, he told the senators. This grant would have been considerably larger than any that I have seen in my nearly quarter century of teaching.
This isnt the first time that liberals have tried to stop Charles and David Koch from doing good with their combined $100 billion fortune.
Activists from the NAACP and the hospital-employee union SEIU Local 1199 in March protested their $100 million donation to build a new wing for cancer patients at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
The Kochs are despised by Democrats for pumping hundreds of millions of dollars into political advocacy groups helping to elect Republicans and attacking liberal causes.
Despite this, Langbert says that he, Brooklyn College and the Koch Foundation had been in discussions for nearly a year about establishing a financial center at Brooklyn College possibly in partnership with the CUNY Graduate Center, correspondence obtained by The Post reveals.

Liberal privilege is an ugly thing.
Liberal Democrats just ooze tolerance.
They are a state school; they have a money source that is not easily stopped.
The NY Post needs to provide support for that statement. "Hundreds of millions" seems high. Plus, the causes they fund are liberal and conservative -- they are more libertarian than anything else.
Attention conservative Brooklyn College alumni:
The college does not want your dirty money, so don’t give it to them.
Guess the Kochs won’t be hiring any of the graduates from that business school now.
Stupid is as Stupid does.
College liberals prefer to take ill-gained money from George Soros’ empire of evil.
Give me a chance with that ten million, sirs. You won't be disappointed.
The Koch brothers should just give the money to Hillsdale College, not only to spurn the liberals, but because Hillsdale takes no Federal or State money, is conservative and graduates exceptional students.
Soros is despised internationally for pumping hundreds of millions of dollars toward breaking the central banks of legitimate governments. He is a convicted criminal. He invents and funds political advocacy groups helping to elect democrats and specifically trying to destroy America and our values.
Excellent point.
It’s obvious that the Koch offer was just a publicity stunt, because the evil Koch Brothers knew the liberals would never take their tainted money. They knew it wouldn’t cost them a penny so they could then give that $10 million to the tea baggers to support racist candidates and gun love. /sarc
Conservatives really, really, really need to learn to fight the left about public education.
The left completely runs our nation’s education.
From top to bottom. It is a massive, expensive, inefficient and discriminatory huge mess, yet year after year we don’t do anything about it.
Just saying.
It's true. And because they are pathological liars, they say it's conservatives who are "mean".
The American people don't know this.
Give it to Hillsdale.
By now youre well acquainted with the Lefts demagoguery vis-à-vis Koch Industries. To the surprise of no one, Charles and David Koch have borne the brunt of the Senate Majority Leaders endless and incoherent bromides on the Senate floor in recent months, in which he has branded both brothers a threat to our democracy. But while the hits keep on coming -- literally -- Democrats find themselves in a rather unfortunate position. As it turns out, lots of prominent Democrats have accepted campaign contributions on behalf of Koch Industries, including in a roundabout way the Senate Majority Leader himself:
