Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) was scheduled to appear at a campaign event at the airport here in south Mississippi for Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) on Sunday evening, but wasn't able to attend.
But even though McCain wasnt here today, Cochrans campaign implied in an email to supporters that he was.
Thad was thrilled with the turnout tonight on the Gulf Coast, Cochrans campaign wrote in a mass email. If you know folks who werent able to be there, they can still meet John McCain tomorrow morning in Jackson.
Brian Rogers, McCain's spokesman, said McCain's flight connection to Gulfport delayed and then canceled due to weather. He's in Jackson now, and looks forward to tomorrow's event.
The 100 or so people there at the rallyincluding Gulport Mayor Billy Hewes, Rep. Steven Palazzo (R-MS) and Cochran himselfjust went on without McCain.
According to a GOP operative working for neither Cochrans campaign nor state Sen. Chris McDaniels campaign, Hewes told the about 100 people present that McCains plane had mechanical difficulties and couldnt land at Gulfports airport.
Thad Cochran only spoke for about five minutes, the operative said. The congressman and mayor spoke for a total of about 25 minutes combined.
The operative said Hewes guaranteed the crowd McCain would appear at a Cochran event up in Jackson, MS, on Monday. Cochrans campaign sent out a release that McCain would be at the Mississippi War Memorial Building at 8:45 a.m. Monday with Cochran.

Its kind of embarrassing that Thad could only get 100 people to an indoor event with a fellow U.S. senator and former GOP presidential candidate, when McDaniel could get 200 people to an event outside in the heat and rain with Chuck Woolery and Lars Larson, the GOP operative told Breitbart News.

Yes!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA! I want that picture of the boy saying HAHAHAHAHAHA to Cochrane......somebody must have it. Thanks in advance.
His Nasty Gland was enlarged and supporating and needed emergency drainage.
And this weasel wonders why he's being primaried, i bet...
In a sure sign Mac plans to run for another term, he has decided not to support another loser.
I envision Cochran and McCain as a sort of political “Spinal Tap” - opening for a puppet show at a theme park and wondering where all their crowds went.
I guess the stink of a decomposing rino scared him off.....
juan al-mccain had an important PR photo shoot with ISIS. he couldn’t make it.
He heard there were poachers in the area, and they might try to get him for his horn.

One of the candidates should have got snookie to appear. Then they would have had a crowd.

someone tell me how this implies that McCain was there.
this is biased BS.
We can all go to bed tonight thinking about the very bad day that Haley Barbour is about to experience tomorrow..
:)
If you know a Mississippi patriot, encourage them to go vote for McDaniel tomorrow, and take Grandma along, too.
Maybe part of the problem was that the event was held at an airport?
Even if it wasn't inside the secure zone, an airport is a very inconvenient place for many people to travel to, since they are usually well outside of populated areas and expensive to park at.

This implies that people who were at today's event met McCain, but those who weren't had the same chance as the people who were there today did. Please explain in what way that doesn't imply he was there.
Is he at the mex border manning a position?
