A River Valley man is behind bars after police said he attacked a woman with a baseball bat at Walmart on Sunday night (June 15).
Fort Smith police said the incident happened at the Walmart on Rogers Avenue.
Police said a man identified as Corey Mosley got a running start and struck a woman identified as Ashlyne Rogers in the head with a bat inside the store.
I couldnt be happier based on the situation of how shes doing and holding up, said the victims father Dustin Rogers. Fort Smith police is currently investigating the incident.
Police said they arrested Mosley at his Fort Smith home.
I dont feel that hes solely responsible for it because hes off of his medication, said Mosleys brother Marcus Mosley.
A Fort Smith police report stated Mosley said it was gang related and she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
If my brother was here right now I would ask him why did you do that? I`m sure his answer wouldn`t be like mine and yours. He`s not all the way there, said Marcus Mosley.
The report said Mosley stated he watched a movie with a baseball bat being used on someone else and wanted to try it.
According to the report Mosleys family said he has serious mental problems.
I apologize to the young lady and her family, said Marcus Mosley.
Fort Smith police and Walmart were unable to release the surveillance video of the attack at this time.
Mosley was arraigned Wednesday (June 18) and pleaded not guilty. He is currently being held on a $20,000 bond.
The knockout game takes a new turn.
No kidding!
Not a hate crime because he’s Amish.
2nd degree battery and $20k bond. I have no words.
That's a crime in itself.
I certainly hope he calls the young man to congratulate him on his batting technique.
Sickening.
Where’s Big AL and J-J ?
I am dismayed by peoples stupid remarks of amazement regarding these black on white attacks. All one has to do is listen to black comments regarding their hatred for whites and now add their actions in translating that hatred into action. The real issue to me is the total inability of whites to take effective counter measures. I think we have become physiologically and psychologically unable to effectively respond.
“The report said Mosley stated he watched a movie with a baseball bat being used on someone else and wanted to try it.”
Untouchables?
$20,000 bond ?? For a vicious racial assault, or attempted murder ??
This is the kind of crap that is rapidly making me feel that I no longer want to leave the house unarmed. This piece of sewer scum is going to get off because he has “mental problems” and “was off his meds.” If anyone tries that gang bull**** with me, I’m going to make sure they won’t ever need their “meds” again. I’d advise other Americans to start considering this also. The Obama regime is winding down. It’s time Americans start taking their country back.
And all of the “openly gay” fags in the commie DemocRAT Party think that the NRA is the problem. The DemocRATS are the reason why America has become the ****hole that it has.
I don’t care if he’s ‘off his meds.’ I don’t care if he’s ‘gang-related.’ His family could have reported both behaviors.
And I certainly don’t want a slew of psychologists paraded thru courts at tax payer expense, to substantiate the perp somehow wasn’t responsible for his own behavior because of white privilege or because somehow this poor gal contributed to her own assault. The gal was not in the wrong place at the wrong time. She had every right to be in in a public store at ANY time.
Intentionally planning to target a (non-black) victim (hence the ‘gang’ excuse from the family), with intent to kill is a felony hate crime no matter how much fluff the press will try to put on it.
Obvious Hate Crime. What’s with these racist asses?
