This is an excellent example of the half truths and decadence that permeates neo pagan end of the American divide.
He was for homosexuality before he was against it and now he is for it again until he is against it again. Got it.
I won der if they would lavish such praise on persons who had suffered from any other type of a relapse — be it alcoholism, drug addiction, or nymphomania.
Yeah, probably not all homosexuals have the strength, determination and energy to go straight. But some do. And they’ll live a healthier, happier life for it. What about them? Should they be mocked and derided? Or should they be tolerated?

True healing in such a situation has to be a side effect of devotion to God. As aggravating as it may seem, God probably won’t let someone treat Him as some celestial psychiatrist for a particular problem while pushing Him away in other areas of his or her life. And I get a hunch that this is what happened in Paulk’s case. By claiming too much too soon he got nothing... he never let God completely fill that hole in his soul.
With all due respect, somebody needs to ask Mrs. Deblasio about this stuff.
Is there an opportunity there, however. They are essentially challenging ex-gay to come out and fight... and frankly I believe they should. Ex-gay has been in the closet long enough. But they should do so as general evangelists, not just single-issue pushers. Those who have truly battled and overthrown such monstrous demons have a special perspective to share, and not a small amount of power.
These are the same people who argue that people can also be a woman trapped inside a man’s body and vice versa.
