Why doesn’t Maliki bomb the ISIS troops? Iraq must have an Air Force.
They don’t. We blew up what little they had left after 1991 on our way in during 2003. Iraq has been rebuilding since then.
Well they have some fixed-wing aircraft and some helicopters with Hellfire missiles, but nothing substantial. This one guy who used to post here, DJ Elliott, has been following the Iraqi military’s rebuild closely. He used to post at Long War Journal, Bill Roggio’s site.
The fact is Maliki can tell Obama and McCain to go eff themselves. They don’t want Iraq to fall anymore than Maliki does. Actually I’m not sure about that.
ah, we were supposed to give them fighters, but hey, come to think of it, COINCIDENTALLY, the delivery wasn’t made. The 200 contractors who were trapped at the airport were preparing for the delivery.
So...the administration and the Russians didn’t want the president of Iraq to get the fighters. Get the rebels of Syria to to to Iraq before they can defend themselves and cause the diversion of non-delivery.
