Patients suffering from terminal illnesses are often forced to make the heart-wrenching decision to enter hospice for end of life care. The decision to enter hospice is tragic and sad enough for patients, but now they are being told they are no longer welcome at hospice facilities because of Obamacare.
Michigans Hospice of Holland has announced that it is no longer accepting patients.
The biggest issue under the Affordable Care Act is that were going to see cuts in reimbursement- its going to be at least 12 percent. We projected out what those cuts are going to do to the organization long term and we realized that in a short period of time, were going to be pulling money from our savings in order to keep the house open, the Executive Director told WXMI.
He explained that had Obamacare has forced the hospice house to shut down early, instead of in 2018 or 2019.

There won’t be any need for their services anyway. Death Panels means the patients will stop getting ANY CARE AT ALL.........................
Not only could the death panel say die but now one may have no where to go to die.

Yes, shut down, but he said not until 2018-2019 but for Obamacare...that’s 4+ less years of service from this Hospice specifically due to Obamacare (and given another 4 years, it’s not out of the realm of possibility they could have found other funding to stay afloat even longer).
Do they offer home hospice care? If so, will that still be available?
