Because we are in the process of sending Cruz, Lee, and the sometimes Paul and Rubio some serious reinforcements. The Dems know they won't get as juicy Deal(s) if McConnell can't grab his ankles and have his toadies go along with him, that is if he survives politically.

Think about it, If we bat 100% we send Cruz and Company, McDaniel, Ernst, TW Shannon, Scott from SC, Maness and maybe even Carr if we can unseat Lamar.

Maybe add one more, Sullivan in Alaska, man this guy looks good...

That is 5 or 6 more Rock Rib Tea Party types. Add them all up, we could have a Senatorial Conservative Caucus of 10 members, that will give Mitch Stundeens...

I am not quite certain that you are being entirely realistic here.

Admittedly, what happened in Virginia just over a week ago was a major upset; even the Cantor campaign--and internal polls are typically the most accurate ones--did not see it coming.

Still, I would be reticent to imagine that nearly as many people as you have named would all become the subjects of similar major upsets...

Agree, again we would have to run the table. But given the POTUS's lack luster numbers and the potentiality of them not improving can the tea party quietly working behind the scenes getting it done, it is possible. Tangent to this is the specter of Obamacare effecting many just before the election regardless of the changes they make to soften the blow, I see a lot of employers sending out the letters of changes and cost increases and it won't go well with even the most liberal who receives them. Add to that the likes of El-Rushbo seeing a title wave against he who shall not be named and we could have a perfect storm for a Constitutionally Conservative Caucus become a reality in the Senate. I have a gut feel about politics at time that are spot on ( and sometimes not ;- )), I hope this chess game I see developing comes to fruition this fall.
