KSTP/SurveyUSA: Franken, Dayton Have Single-Digit Leads
KTSP Channel 5 NEws ^ | June 12, 2014 | Tom Hauser

Gov. Mark Dayton and Sen. Al Franken survived recounts when they won their first elections to the governor's office and U.S. Senate. According to our latest KSTP/SurveyUSA poll, they might have to sweat our close races again in 2014. Franken clings to a six-point lead over his closest Republican challenger Mike McFadden, 48 percent to 42 percent. The poll has a margin of sampling error of +/- 3.1 percent.

"This poll is a cannon burst into the Minnesota U.S. Senate race," says political science professor Larry Jacobs of the University of Minnesota Humphrey Institute. Jacobs says if the race remains close it will attract millions in outside campaign money. Franken has a larger lead over another potential challenger, state Representative Jim Abeler. Franken leads Abeler by nine points, 48 percent to 39 percent. "The fact that even Jim Abeler is only nine points behind Al Franken indicates there appears to be a solid base of opposition to Al Franken," says Jacobs.

This is very good news, I hope that Rasmussen and others also poll this race. To see that leftist clown Al Franken god down to defeat would rank up there with the 1994 defeat of Frank McCloesky for similar reasons. Hopefully the Koch Brothers will steer their money that way.

Franken’s already gone down to defeat.

That didn’t stop him from taking office.

Any state that chooses a clown to represent it in the Senate has no self respect.

As long as Mark Ritchie is in charge of counting the votes, the fix is in. “Abandoned cars” with ballots in the trunk already marked for the chosen candidates will be pre-positioned.

Minnestoopid, you get what you deserve.

Any bets on which or how many elections the left will flat out steal in November? It is demoralizing.

Yes, no question that that Norm Coleman won that 2008 election. The state uses optically scanned paper ballots, IIRC, and the 'Rat Secretary of State allowed recounts using visual inspection of the ballots, which allowed the 'Rats to cheat their way to "victory."

Blame it on poor lawyering by the GOP, who could have probably gone to the SCOTUS to halt the recount shenanigans and had their guy rightfully declared the winner, pursuant to Bush v. Gore.

A few very close ones are stolen every election (not counting unfair character assassinations that result in legitimately lost elections or elections are lost only due to 3rd party Libertarians or Constitution Party People). Few races end up that close.

Most recent example in a major race, Virginia Attorney General.

Let’s look at all the Senate races from the last 3 cycles that were certainly or very probably stolen.

2012: North Dakota (Typical Indian Fraud more than erases that margin)
2010: Colorado (No not Nevada, fraud surely inflated Reid’s margin but it wasn’t that close, Angle blew it)
2008: Minnesota (outright robbery), Alaska (you could say democrats are responsible for murdering Ted Stevens, if he were still a Senator maybe he wouldn’t have been on that plane)

That’s 4. Meaning there should be at least 49 Republicans, making taking control this year would be a cinch.

Looking that all the Senate races that are lost in total due to fraud, candidate blunders, third parties, simple failure to recruit or nominate a good candidate, is depressing. We could easily have 60.

The GOP doesn’t have the balls to do what needs to be done to win (2000 POTUS being the exception).

FReeper Impy was listed the numerous blown Senate seats the GOP pissed away through incompetence, choosing mentally challenged candidates to run for seats and election theft. This particular seat fits in a couple, if not all, categories.

If the GOP was run with a modicum of competence, they’d currently have ~58/60 seats in the Senate.

And they possibly could have the White House as well.

Aside from lukewarm support for voter photo idea laws, the GOP as a party has done very little to tamp down on Democrat election fraud and cheating that has cost the party a number of elections on all levels. The Coleman-Franken Senate race in '08 is just one example.

Hard to believe that, unless I'm mistaken, there was no word of protest at all against the purported ZERO votes for Romney in some election precincts in Philadelphia and Cleveland. That the GOP National Committee could take this deliberate punch in the mouth and remain silent about it is unfathomable.

Okay did you vote in 2008 and did you vote for some third party candidate who had absolutely no chance of getting elected?
