Democrats and Republicans are more deeply divided along ideological lines and partisan rage and antipathy runs much higher than at any time in the past two decades, the report by the Pew Research Center concludes.

Not much ideological difference. Because of total pussies on the Hill, we now have a majority leader from Kalifornia. Cantor’s defeat has actually degraded the leadership. And McCarthy can push shamnesty with no fear of backlash.
I wonder, though: Were things worse if you go back more than 20 years, or did they just not try to go back further than that?
Granted that there’s a strong political divide in the US, but is it worse now than just the past 20 years, or is it 50, 90, since the Civil War, or even further back?
The Great Divider strikes again.
There isn’t actually a huge divide. Republicans have stood by while Obama has accomplished his list of destructive goals.
The MSM wants to keep up the ‘party of no’ narrative as they can continue to fool the masses as to why our economy is in shambles, border isn’t defended, etc.
All the libs I knew 30 years ago were just goofy, but generally not mean. Now the libs I know are irrational and spitting vitriol, and poised for violence.
Obama is the mirror of what America wants to be. He’s not the America that put him TWICE in office.
Half want slavery of the working people so their life may be easier and more self-indulgent. Half want freedom from the overreaching government and the socially-controlling wealthy society so they can try to live their God-given right.
Civil War is around the corner, but it is not Obama or Bush’s fault. History repeats itself.
I have been expecting it since the 70s. It hasn't happened yet, but I still expect it.
CW2 is coming, if not already here. Expect it, prepare for it, win it.

It will be fought for cultural reasons, but won’t happen until there is economic collapse. I doubt any but the new barons will be pleased with the outcomes.
Yes, I think an economic collapse would definitely spark a civil war. Years of pent up rage will make it bloody. I just wonder what the Russians, Chinese, and others would be doing at that time?
I believe more and more the time is ripe for a new political movement to arise and more people get sick of both parties.
I read this article last night and its right on the money. We are probably at the same point as just prior to the Civil War. I personally won’t even speak to somebody if I perceive them as a libtard. Most of my friends are the same.
