Montana Senate: Daines (R) 53%, Walsh (D) 35%

Republican Congressman Steve Daines has moved to an 18-point lead over interim Senator John Walsh in the U.S. Senate race in Montana.

Daines now picks up 53% up the vote to Walsh’s 35%, according to a new Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Montana Voters. Three percent (3%) like some other candidate in the race, while nine percent (9%) are undecided.

Daines has consistently been up by a good margin, voters seems to be viewing this as an open seat.

I may have to move MT above WV to #2 most likely gain.

This would be a sweet one, this is the MT seat that has never popularly elected a Republican, Landshew’s in LA is the only other seat in the country to share that distinction (well sort of shares it, Woody Jenkins WAS rightfully elected in 1996 of course).
