Quebec has adopted a right to-die bill in what is the first legislation of its kind in Canada. The federal Canadian government, however, has said it could challenge its legality.
Bill 52 carried the day by a 94-22 majority. The legislation is officially dubbed an act respecting end-of-life care.

What an absolute abuse of the word “care.”
and to frog legs as well...
From the article:
“It stipulates that patients themselves would have to repeatedly ask a doctor to end their lives on the basis of unbearable physical or psychological suffering. They would have to be deemed mentally sound at the time of the requests”
Are there no tall buildings anywhere near these people? Are they incapable of starting a car and closing the garage door? Don’t they have access to a razor blade?
This all about bringing someone else into their evil. It is all about corrupting other peoples morals so you can feel better about your lack of morals.
"Everyone thinks Kervorkian is doing wrong, but no one wants to see him punished."
I was never opposed to punishing Kevorkian.
Canada Ping!
Exactly. Why do politicians always have to pass a "bill" to regulate something that people already have the ability to avoid or to accomplish? Everybody already has the right to die. Who is standing in the way of anybody dying if they want to? Like Boxer's new "bill" she is trying to pass that would allow relatives to take the guns away from an unstable person. Don't normal families already do that? When grandpa starts showing signs of dementia, first thing family does is take the guns. Did that when my dad almost shot the dog. If the family is not normal they won't take the guns anyway, even if the "law" says they can. It's insanity. Regulation beyond common sense.
Deat sometimes has a lot of lingering agony involved, and asking someone to bring you some poison TELLS ALL.
