Putin calls Hillary Clinton a 'weak' woman

Paris (AFP) - Russian President Vladimir Putin waded into US politics Wednesday describing former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton -- and possible 2016 presidential candidate -- as "weak" in some sarcastic comments about women. In an interview with French television, Putin was asked about Clinton's recent remarks that the Russian leader was trying to redraw the boundaries in eastern Europe just like Adolf Hitler did in the 1930s.

"It's better not to argue with women," Putin replied, adding: "But Mrs. Clinton has never been too graceful in her statements." Putin remarked that he met Clinton when she was the US top diplomat "and had cordial conversations at various international events. I think even in this case we could reach an agreement".

But as the Russian leader has come under fire in the West for his aggressive policies in Ukraine and Moscow's annexation of Crimea, he did not hide that he found Clinton's Hitler-like comments extreme. "When people push boundaries too far, it's not because they are strong but because they are weak," said Putin, who then went on. "But maybe weakness is not the worst quality for a woman."

In my experience, the women who work hardest to prove how strong they are, tend to be among the weakest.

I guess the “reset” button was just pushed again.

Putin has SEEN Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless, dancing intoxicated in the aisles at formal state meetings.

Putin just looks on, and asks himself, “Why do the Americans just keep on sending these clowns into the room? It just makes my opportunities so much more effective.”

It sounds like Putin wants a worthy rival, so he is trying to help the Republicans.

Russia needs a counterbalance and they know it isn’t China.

This is Putin’s way of helping her. Pretending to be against her.

Hillary Clinton is a weak woman. She has never met a male leader who didn’t walk all over her....and especially her own husband.

If Putin thinks Hillary is weak, you've really got to wonder what he thinks of Obama.

Putin said: but maybe weakness is not the worst quality in a woman...

Can you imagine if an American male had the guts to say that?

Putin is not that kind....it is his way of helping himself. He knows that if Hillary becomes the next POTUS then he is home free to do whatever he wants

She’s NOT weak; she’s the choice of tens of millions of Americans who adore her. She’s powerful because she has tapped into the ignorance of the American people.

I read his quote on the plane yesterday and couldn’t stop chuckling. Hill must have been screaming every name at the book at him so hard that some of her facial reconstruction stitches probably came out. He hit her right between the ba.... Ovaries. This still makes me smile.

She has overcome the men who walk over her because she’s still standing and ready for more.

I would think he was nuts if he was talking about Thatcher.

But he’s saying what we already know about Hill.

A weak woman indeed. But she still can kick Obama’s butt.

How sad for America to have a pansy wuss as our President, and the presumed next leader is seen as a “weak woman”.

There's truth in this statement, but HRC is exempt from all rules and regulations by none other than the uninformed American people.

"But maybe weakness is not the worst quality for a woman."

I'd love to see him tell Angela Merkel that.
