Because large, large numbers of Californians are total flaming idiots and they vote in large numbers for names they have heard of before and for no other rational or knowledgeable reason. If a Kardashian ran in some kind of election out here they would garner huge votes because incredible numbers of people have dogturds for brains but they’ve heard the name.
