Leading lawmakers on Monday called for an immediate investigation into the Obama administration’s controversial decision to release from prison five top Taliban leaders in exchange for an American prisoner that some troops have dubbed a “traitor.”
Sen. Lindsay Graham (R., S.C.), in a letter to the Senate Armed Services Committee, requested that an immediate hearing be organized to examine if the Obama administration broke any laws by unilaterally releasing five top Taliban leaders in exchange for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who spent five years in captivity.
Graham and other key lawmakers charge that the White House has jeopardized U.S. national security and broken the law by freeing top Taliban leaders who are likely to rejoin the terrorist network and pick up the fight against America.
New information released Monday by Congress further shows that the Obama administration violated the law by not informing Congress of the release beforehand.

The majority of the House (Democrats and RINOs) is too paralyzed to act. Political correctness has them speechless, and the media has been, for the most part, utterly silent about the truly treasonous behavior of the Current Regime.
The Russian Federation has a more circumspect and law-abiding government. Bashar al-Assad has more political support in Syria than the Current Occupant now squatting in the White Hut has in the territory once known as “the United States of America.” Insurgents within Syria are probably less likely to dislodge al-Assad, than The Won shall leave office before the end of his term in January 2017.
... By doing this, the media and the public can't remain focused on any singular scandal. And, no matter how serious the scandal is .... the effect will be blunted by the constant swirl of deflections and diversions.
.... Quite simply, The more scandals out there the better it will be for this administration because scandal fatigue has already taken hold. People just won't care anymore.
