I think the whack-job father had tenticles into the radical Muslim world while this soldier was in Afghanistan. His bizarre comments yesterday suggested he had pals in the CIA, the FBI, the White House, the Mossad, the PLO and the IRA! He was one well-connected UPS driver!
But seriously, one of his emails to his son told him to “follow his conscience.” I think shortly after this, his son deserted. I think the father is the key in this story. Just my opinion.
