You really have to watch Brian Schweitzer in action to get just how much of a blowhard he is. By the end of his appearance on today's Morning Joe, even Mika Brzezinski seemed mortified by the antics of her fellow Democrat. And Bill Kristol's expression of utter disdain for the former Montana governor was worth the price of admission alone.
In the course of his appearance, Schweitzer--defending President Obama's deal for the release of US soldier Bowe Bergdahl--declined to call the five senior Taliban members released either terrorists or war criminals. Even the Daily Beast, in the person of reporter Eli Lake, has called the five "some of the worst of the worst," and "considered [by the Pentagon] to be a high risk to launch attacks against the United States and its allies if they were liberated." When talk turned to domestic politics, Schweitzer dabbled in some anti-Ted Cruz birtherism, repeatedly alluding to the Texas senator's birth in Canada.

Just curious - was Schweitzer’s wife [born in Canada] the child of a parent who is a US citizen?
I think Ted Cruz’s father was a naturalized US citizen [or was it his mother who was a US citizen?]. At any rate one of Ted’s parents was a US citizen.
Is Brian Schweitzer saying these things because he intends to run for the presidential nomination of the Democrat party in 2016?

There are two ways to be born a U.S. Citizen with no requirement to naturalize. The legal terms are Jus Sanguinis, by blood, and Jus Soli, by place. Sen Cruz is not a naturalized citizen because at the time of his birth the laws of this nation allowed his mother's citizenship and past residence status to qualify him. If one thinks Barak Obama was born outside the US, then one would have to establish his Mother's residency inside the country because she was so young when he was born.
The rest is up to debate, if you want to start citing 17th century Swiss bureaucrats.

Watching The Five tonight, Dana brought up a topic that would be in the next segment that caught Bob by surprise and she was curious to see how he would respond to it and even he expressed no knowledge of what the subject was, he proceeded to defend it. It was astounding how they can bluff their way through - WITH fellow democrats but not with people who use their brain!
