oh, did not see it on the side
Excellent Smithers!
Any Texans that can give us a quick rundown on who the conservatives are in these races?
Patrick, Paxton for sure
Patrick has the advantage of being better than Dewhurst.
He still sucks. He just sucks a bit less.. so far as he’s been allowed.
Lesser of two weevils he is.
I just finished voting and I stood in line for an hour. Biggest crowd I have ever seen at my polling station. As we left we counted about 200 people in line at 7:05. Tea partiers from the discussions in line.
Dewhurst is burnt toast.
Is it possible to make this a live thread in Breaking News?
humblegunner you are full of crap.
“Patrick has the advantage of being better than Dewhurst.”
But maybe you are not a conservative or a limited g’ment type.
Dewhurst appointed Democrats to head some Texas senate committees in the past. Dewhurst does not even qualify to be a RINO

These are the live house races.
I cant see where the Lt Gov or AG race is on politico.
From your link:
Texas state Sen. Dan Patrick, a tea party favorite, defeated incumbent GOP Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst in Tuesdays primary runoff the second straight election cycle in which Dewhurst has been upset in a runoff.
With 23 percent of precincts reporting, Patrick led Dewhurst, 64 percent to 36 percent. The Associated Press called the race with fewer than 10 percent of precincts reporting.
Sad state of affairs when those making the laws by which we in the State of Texas are governed are elected by less than 6 percent of all registered voters.
And maybe you have a comprehension problem.
HG, What’s the problem with Patrick ?
While he will probably do a passable job - surely better than Dewhurst - he strikes me as mostly in it for the further aggrandizement of himself.
His whole career has been about “look at me! Listen to me!”
Plus a few years back some nut was running around the capitol grounds with a gun.
Patrick got scared and led the effort to install metal detectors and such around the capitol.
