I had a couple of HR guys tell me (off the record, of course) that businesses felt safer hiring white guys because, if they didn't work out, it was a lot less complicated to fire them.

Of course, all things being equal, they would prefer to hire a nonwhite candidate for the extra diversity points they gained. But, in the real world, all things are seldom equal.

You can have a free country or government schools. Choose one.

The institution of government-run schools cannot avoid invidious indoctrination. Government schooling was founded by the Prussian Government to support the State. In this country, government schooling was founded by liberal do-gooder types and the early socialists to educated children away from their parents beliefs, which were blamed for the ills of society.

In other words, government schooling was founded to alienate children from their parents. They can do no other.

I think what she means is that Europeans did not consciously think of themselves as "white people", a label uniting all Europeans and making them distinct from dark African slaves, prior to that point. I'm presuming that 1681 is some landmark year in the history of black slavery, but I'm not interested enough to look it up.

But it's still a silly statement.

This is just injecting politics into the classroom. Parents need to call this out early and often, it has no place in our schools.

Call it racism, be blunt, as that’s what it is - nothing but divisive talk. We can be the ones calling for “bringing people together”, which this isn’t. This is anti-equality, calling for people to behave differently because of race.

That would be Whiterary, between February and March, but only during Leap Years.
