Operation American Spring falls flat: ‘This is very disappointing,’ Texan says
The Washington Times ^ | 5/16/14 | Cheryl K. Chumley

Operation American Spring, billed as a Friday morning multi-million patriot march on Washington, D.C., to oust leadership from the nation’s capital — from President Obama to House Speaker John Boeher — has proven woefully below expectations.

“It’s a very dismal turnout,” said Jackie Milton, 61, a Jacksboro, Texas, resident and the head of Texans for Operation American Spring, to The Washington Times. He said hopes were high when he arrived in Alexandria, Va., a day or so ago and found motels and hotels were sold out for 30 miles around.

Five is right!

One actual conservative
One counter protester/DU Dummy/OWS/......
One homeless guy hoping to catch a free meal
One guy with a ‘tin foil’ hat that wants to talk about aliens, zombies, mind control waves, chem trials and........
and the other ‘journalist’ covering the story.

Guess who gets the most coverage? Its NOT the conservative!

Operation American Spring falls flat...ssuring that for once, a conservative demonstration will be heavily covered by the MSM....

I think a better idea would be to fill up stadiums and arena’s all over the country. I think that would probably cause the left/MSM some pause.

It was a conservative demonstration? I wouldn’t know since I have hardly heard of it

Tell me what it accomplished.

The only people who have proposed something that would actually accomplish anything are in DC right now.

LOL. Now you can go back and find my posts from a couple days ago where I was defending #bringbackourgirls.

Why would I want to do that? I don't get the connection.

...a number the organizer of the event, Army Col. Harry Riley, called optimistic yet doable, given one million militia had already agreed to come.

I guess they're all still in Nevada.

Because now I’m saying the Tea Party rally accomplished nothing, but then I was saying #bringbackourgirls accomplished what it set out to accomplish.

That was my take as well after I sought who was attempting to pull this together....Didn’t seem legit from the start which I just learned about yesterday.

These things cannot happen without the media or some mainline push to get the word out....and I’m not so sure people would go....we are so far past these marches which have not brought any desired results except a show.....nor has it changed the direction of Washington.

This wasn’t intended to be a march or demonstration. This is supposed to be a demand.

The place we bring change is in our town halls and polling places. It doesn’t happen overnight.

“Think about Nicolae Ceausescu.”

I’ve been thinking about Ceausescu a lot lately. Heh, heh...

As I saw it they did not make that clear......nor were they organized sufficient to make such demands.

I never heard of the March until a week ago, although it may have been on FR.

Those motel/hotels could have been booked by Democrat Politicians to prevent Marchers from having a place to stay. When they call for a room, well we have no vacancies. This should have been co ordinated with a huge political backing and reservations to be successful. Now it looks like the people aren’t interested in taking the country back.

Timing and Planning are everything!

“...a number the organizer of the event, Army Col. Harry Riley, called optimistic yet doable, given one million militia had already agreed to come.”

“I guess they’re all still in Nevada.”

I suspect they may have encountered a few logistical issues transporting that many people from Nevada to DC.

“I think a better idea would be to fill up stadiums and arena’s all over the country. I think that would probably cause the left/MSM some pause.”

I think you’re on to something. That was the original Tea Party rally format.

As suggested other places here, they should be called ‘Pitchfork Rallies’.

The ruling, enforcing, and enabling classes need to feel fear.

These people are calling for an overthrow of the Government. That is Treason

I hate to disappoint you but our Constitutional Republic has already been overthrown -- there is no arguing that point.

I have no doubt if our Founders were alive today they would say the same. They would tell us that the States need to move fast on the Article V Amendment process.

Make no mistake the U.S. government has been overthrown by rabid fascistic Statists (includes many RINOs)

This government is treason, overthrowing it is patriotic.
